Gosh darn, haven't posted too much in a while. I doubt any of y'all care all to much, but hey, if at least one person digs it, that's enough, right?
Here's a fella of mine I knocked out a while ago on some of the "toned paper." It was pretty fun to try, and I attempted to incorporate bits of my older designs (which to anyone looking at my gallery will see are the one's preceding this one) with some of the armoring. I also used a bit of my hatching for shading, which I have an almost love hate relationship with, as it can fill up space well without erasing detail, but it can also distract away from some line work and make him darker overall.
As for what this guy's doing, not to sure. Ducking from an explosive, getting ready to stand up, sneaking around? For the gear, I honestly don't know what I was thinking. He has a chest mounted MF Radio (I think), some shoulder armor, some kinda arm pouch, an old "mortar man" cover, as well as assorted another out of place pockets. My guess is his unit just got cut off from supplies and had to use what they could. Or maybe he's just dressing up! The only thing I really dug to much about this guy was the gun he's got, which I started implementing with a few other guys in later works.
