Since I can't think of any other site or community interested my stuff, y'all are gonna have to deal with a bit of a mass-post. This was done if i'm not mistaken, only a few hours after the last guy. I was out of state and just started doodling in a new sketchbook, and felt a bit motivated.
This work is another toned paper sketch, of the do's and don'ts of how to engage in a firefight. It was mostly just some foreshortening and dynamic posing practice, and just an attempt to practice a drawing with more then one figure in a space. I'm pretty content with the shading, and the proportions are...acceptable... As you can see, not all limbs are created equal.
Now for the gear! As I wanted to practice more of what back angle's look like with out the big ol' sleeping bag in the way, I made the character in the for front wear just general web-gear. I had also seen a few guys i worked with wearing utility pouches on the thighs, so I decided to give it a go! This is basically just all-purpose gear, with actual pouches built for specific tasks coming later. The guy crouching behind the (absolutely terribly proportioned) cover is just in the standard 72-hour infantry gear. As you can see, both of these fine young men are using that gun thing I sketched up earlier, and they will not be the last!
