You could say this is kind of a sequel to this image I drew a long time ago before Brawl ever came out. https://atticus-kotch.deviantart.co.....idley-70694803 Considering that both of their statuses in the game have been upgraded, it seemed appropriate. And I borrowed some elements from the newest iteration of Battlefield for the backdrop.
Well, I'm sure most people know that while Ridley got into Smash as a playable fighter, Krystal was given Assist Trophy status. Which is still a step up from just a trophy. I've really wanted her to be in Smash for a long time. So...it's a bittersweet thing. I'm glad that they remember her, especially considering that the last time she was in a Star Fox game was 12 years ago. But I'm still really psyched about Ridley being playable. One of the two characters I've wanted the most is finally in the game. I've long been a Donkey Kong main, but who knows. A certain space dragon might be my new main...or a Gerudo King who has seen significant buffs...
I've always drawn Krystal a bit more buff than she's appeared in the games. And boy, has she been working out this time. I was even going to have Ridley make a comment, but there's only so much canvas space left for the text.
