Purchased on 6/11/18 at my local HobbyTown USA, this $20 1/144th scale model kit proved to be one of my more challenging kits, but the preparation for this build was held off, as not only did I buy just the kit, but also a display stand that ties along with it, as well as a support unit for the actual suit. Not only that, but I also bought new materials, such as alligator clamps, three new markers (two metallic markers, one red, and the other being blue, plus a marker eraser), and a cutting mat. After it was all said and done, I spent a solid 12 hours building, panel lining, painting some areas, seam-line removing, getting some custom stickers made and printed, and then weathering, the kit was finished. As for the history of the suit, it comes from the very recent series: Gundam Build Divers, and it is based on the GH-001 Grimoire, which was a mass-production suit of the Amerian Army in the series: Gundam Reconguista in G. This variation of the original Grimoire gave it more of a militaristic appearance, as well as some rather neat gimmicks, such as the scissor claws on its legs and feet, having wheels, and two Minimore drone/surveillance units that are stored in the backpack. As for weapons, it mainly has an assault rifle that can split up into multiple pieces, such as a pistol, sub-machine gun, and a grenade launcher, plus a plasma knife, and the fore-mentioned scissor claws.

Fun facts about the Grimoire Red Beret: this suit is "piloted" by Rommel, who is the captain of the 7th Panzer Division. However, with this series being revolved around people all over the world playing an online network game called Gunpla Battle Nexus Online, or GBN for short, the players use avatars and scan their actual gunpla into the game. As for Rommel, the series hasn't shown who actually plays as him, but in GBN, he uses an Ermine Stoat as an avatar. Overall, this kit was rather enjoyable, as well as the other two kits that were also bought.
