You know, as reformed demon, Levyne is a mysterious specimen; one that anyone would be excited to research, either for SCIENCE…or…other reasons. Well guess what, today we’re gonna get a crash course on what this lovely wet beauty is all about, so put on your scholar’s cap and get ready to learn!!
Environmental Range: As Levyne’s appearance would suggest, she is most accustomed to aquatic environments, and as such she prefers to dwell in locations that have an abundance of water or moisture. Due to her elusive nature and underwater capabilities, Levyne prefers areas that are completely submerged or hard to reach. Areas such as oceans, seas, and lakes provide Levyne with a large area in which to stay hidden but also so she can swim freely. Levyne’s habitat range is increased by her adaptable body as she can dwell in any aquatic environment regardless of the temperature, salt content of the water, or its depts. Typically, Levyne will spend roughly two weeks in one location before traveling to the next area, all the while taking residence in some sort of structure. More often than not, Levyne will take residence in areas such as sunken ships, underwater ruins, undersea caverns, submerged cities, and abyssal trenches; the reason for this is so Levyne can peacefully rest without fear of being attacked or discovered by hostile creatures. Despite living most of her life in water, Levyne isn’t strictly aquatic, as she can survive on land just as well as she can in water. This amphibious nature allows Levyne to travel far from her typically aquatic homes whenever necessary, presenting the theory that she can dwell just about anywhere.
Body/Adaptations: Levyne’s body has a vast array of special qualities to it, most of which she inherited from her corrupted form, the abyss lurker. As much of her skills and traits were retained from her days as a true demon…
*Swimming capabilities: As to be expected, Levyne has great proficiency in swimming, being able to swim at various depths with little issue. Levyne embodies both beauty and grace when freely swimming, but her underwater speed is the more surprising aspect as she can easily keep up with speeding ships and other such watercrafts with little effort. This speed has allowed Levyne to reach destinations easily and escape from possible threats. Surprisingly, Levyne speed is not marred by abyssal underwater sea pressure.
*Environmental adaption: As Levyne travels to various underwater locations, her body is constantly adjusting to the waters temperature and varying amounts of pressure. This has allowed Levyne to explore a vast range of undersea ecosystems without worry about the temperature or under sea pressure, regardless of the circumstances. Her adaptive nature has allowed her to venture into freezing arctic waters, volcanic undersea vents, shallow waters, and abyssal deep-sea depths with no negative affects to her body.
*Gills: Even though Levyne is best suited to the water, she can live just as comfortably on land as she can submerged. When Levyne exits the water, the gills on the side of her torso will seal and allow her lungs to take over, allowing her to comfortably breath air. When Levyne submerges, her gills will open and allow her to breath underwater with no issue. Because of this, Levyne can spend an infinite amount of time underwater and on land; meaning she is not limited to one area.
*Bioluminescence: When exploring deeper depths where light is scarce, Levyne has the ability to illuminate her eyes in order to see, with her gaze giving off a “search light” effect. In addition, Levyne’s secondary set of eyes can also be used to illuminate her way; in fact, Levyne has taken to using her eye stalks in a manner similar to that of an angler fishes’ lure, by using it to attract unwary prey.
*Moisture Retention: Even though she can spend extended periods away from water, Levyne still needs to be sufficiently hydrated, just like any normal person would. However, Levyne has the ability to absorb moisture from anywhere its available and hold it in her body for long periods, similar to how a camel stores water in its humps. This allows her to venture into arid regions and maintain moisture for extended periods, but there is one downside to this. If the atmosphere is too dry and if temperatures are too high, then it can quickly rob Levyne of her moisture, making her weaker the longer she is exposed to the arid conditions. If this happens, then the fins on her tail and head will shrink in order to keep moisture in and the webbings on her hands and feet will retract. While Levyne can circumvent this by using her sparra, her energy is tied to her stamina and will deplete faster the weaker and more dehydrated she gets.
*Regeneration: Despite not being a true shadow anymore, Levyne still retains the natural regeneration that the demons are known for. Levyne has the ability to heal and recover from any type of injury be it minimal or major. Cuts, scratches, and bruises heal almost instantaneously, and while injuries such as dismemberment, decapitation, and disembowelment heal at an alarming rate, it still takes a moment for her to recover. However, Levyne’s regeneration is not perfect as it uses energy in correlation with the amount of damage she sustained; as such she will have to eat in order to recover that lost energy. If too much damage is inflicted and subsequently healed, Levyne will become weak. Levyne also retains the same weakness that shadow regeneration has: any damage inflicted by sparra or spiritual weapons will have the same effect on her as if she were normal, in which the injury will be permanent or outright fatal. It is also worth mentioning that even if she can heal, she can still experience pain.
*Poison Resistance: Like her shadow form, Levyne is immune to all forms of natural poison and venom. This immunity allows her to be stung, bit, and scratched by the various sea creatures she comes across and regardless of how strong the poison is, Levyne won’t be affected by it in the slightest. As such, creatures like jellyfish and pufferfish are of no concern to her; in fact, Levyne can even ingest these poisonous creatures and store their venom in small specialized sacs located on the interior of her gills. Levyne utilizes this stored poison by using it in a similar manner to a squid’s ink, by expelling whatever toxins she has stored from her gills as inky black oil. The force that this oil is expelled at is similar to a jet, providing Levyne with a small thrust while simultaneously blinding whatever is pursuing her. However, upon doing this, Levyne expends all of the poison she had stored, so this is often used as a last resort. Interestingly enough, Levyne’s oil retains the same hazardous effects of the poison and venom used in its creation; meaning this oil can be outright fatal to any creature that isn’t immune to it. Despite her immunity to natural poisons, Levyne can get extremely sick and weak when exposed to artificial substances such as man-made oil.
*Strength: While not apparently obvious, Levyne is much stronger than she appears, another quality retained from her true demon self. Levyne has enough strength to carry things such as anchors, shipping containers, and creatures much larger than her with little effort. However, Levyne does have her limits and as such, she can’t use her strength on everything.
Sparra and abilities: Upon turning into a true shadow, Levyne’s sparra was subsequently unlocked, allowing her to use her latent abilities in tandem with her natural shadow abilities.
*Shadow abilities: Levyne has the ability to freeze various forms of moisture as well as release a chilling aura that can freeze the area around her and as well as enemies that get to close.
*Sparra type: Levyne has the Current sparra type, a combination of lightning and water based sparra. This sparra allows Levyne to spit and create streams of water while simultaneously electrifying it to take down or paralyze foes. Despite the fact Levyne can use her powers offensively, she will more often than not use them in order to fish or capture food, resorting to utility more than attack. Levyne will typically use her water in order to create weaponry and tools, while using it in tandem to freeze the water solid in order to increase their efficiency; using this to fashion spears, harpoons, tridents, and fishing nets to capture food or defend herself. Levyne will sometimes create bubbles that are electrified, using them like depth charges, using them similar to dynamite fishing or to deter a would-be attacker.
And there you have it, insight into the aquatic beauty! As you can see she’s definitely an interesting one, and if you get the chance to meet her, be sure to be nice to her and you will be deeply rewarded, trust me! There are various benefits to befriending an gentle aquatic demon like her, don’t believe me? Give it a try, I just hope you can swim! Nighthead did this amazing piece of Levyne on his patreon, I hope you enjoy!!
*TRIVIA: Levyne says she enjoys visiting wetlands and swamps on occasions to bath in the nutrient rich mud, resulting in her soft skin.

Gals are as stunning as ever, hope you can see my latest uploads: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/27732538/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/27732639/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/27732709/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/27732796/
I have to say, ever since I first saw Levyne's design she instantly went to the top as one of my personal favorite furry designs out there!
First of, I absolutely adore well defined characters with a ton of depth and thought put into them.
There's waaaayyy too many characters out there that were only created with physical appearance in mind and nothing about how they are as people, therefor making them much less interesting to me personally.
Levyne's got an actual backstory in mind (I've read what I can find) with a living and believable world for her to reside in, thus making everything about her more believable. (Reading through this she seems quite powerful without feeling like an unexplained asspull)
Second, her design is absolutely gorgeous!
There's quite a lot of interesting things going on with her design and she's instantly recognizable amongst the millions of other designs out there. It is always a treat to see artwork of her!
Long silky smooth hair (I've always been a sucker for white hair), interesting combination of goddess-esque clothing, different sorts of jewelry and aquatic elements such as the tail and head fin.
The color scheme is pleasant to look at and does not feel overly complicated either. Different shades of blue is a classic and ever working combo and fits so well with the aquatic theme both in looks and functionality.
All of this combined on a stunning body with in my opinion perfect proportions all across the board!
Also she looks so sweet and lovable, and the way you describe her personality fits that notion perfectly!
All in all, amazing and lovely character and I do hope we get to see more of her in the future! (I should draw something of her myself someday when I get the time)

oh wow, thank you so much i really appreciate the kind words! i really try to breath life into the characters i create so that the best of both worlds can be had: an appealing design and a backstory to accompany it. i feel it gives the character more meaning and life rather than just looks!
You are very much welcome!
I really appreciates that extra little touch that a proper backstory gives to a character.
I feel like you have a healthy view on how a good character should be handled!
Speaking of Levyne's character, you do talk a bit about her being a reformed demon.
I find the attributes she's gained from her previous demon form to be cool and interesting.
However, I can not find any art of her Demon Form.
Do you have any plans on drawing that?
Or perhaps could you link me whatever art of that which exists?
If so, then thanks!

No problem!
Then let us hope you can find someone like that! :D
Been a while since I read the original character bio, but do you have ideas in mind on what her Demon Form would look like? Any features or whatevs?
Or do you hope that you will find someone who will come up with an design for you?
