Meet the entity responsible for the tingly pins-and-needles feeling of limbs falling asleep, the Veinbuzz. They use a substance similar to a neurotoxin to create the effect and deliver it via contact with their target's skin. The stinger is for self defense, should a person wake before they are supposed to or catch a glimpse of the creature. A Veinbuzz will typically hide in the shadows or bask in the moonlight. If moonlight is not available, the glow of a television, computer, or phone screen will suffice.

When tamed or befriended, a Veinbuzz's mischief will only lessen slightly. They are affectionate creatures and will often cuddle, causing a vaguely uncomfortable tingling sensation as long as contact persists. However, they are known to be territorial and completely paralyze threats to their allies.
