Besides, the one in Jurassic park was little compared to the real one which was really big, if im right a full developed individual of that species was like 20 ft long and 10 ft tall, so i guess the one from the movie must been a dwarf or a juvenile one >XD.
Not sure if the neck frill was real or not, we may never know, but i dont have any objection against that, it looks cool on that dinosaur for me >XD

The book was fantastic. I can understand the want for the paleontologists to use the film as a vehicle to push more accurate dinosaur information into the public eye, but that also is thrown out with the genetic basis of the story, namely that the whole mosquito in amber thing was just what they told the media and the "dinosaurs" were just genetic mashups of modern day animals into the shape of what we believe dinosaurs were like.
That's ONLY addressed in JP3 (and forgotten soon after it's mentioned) and only more firmly in the jurassic world films since Ingen and Biosyn are putting their bioweapons into production, which was always the end goal and something Hammond wanted to prevent happening.
Oh, and the dilophosaurus in the book were 10 feet tall, had red crests, and had a yellow body with black spots, much like a poison dart frog. A terrible reminder of how they were really mashed up genetic horrors "that discovered that humans were easy prey."

Yup. The one in the book was 10 feet tall, yellow with black spots, and tore Nedry apart.

While I know Jurassic park accidentally made people think the dilo had a frill you can't blame the movie too much for how people make assumptions even though the books and films themselves say they use other DNA from other animals. If anything that's more or less the fault of the general public.
I saw a skull of one of these in a museum when I went to visit relatives in Minnesota. Holy FUCK that skull was big it looked about three feet long.
