Les modèles de Protogen AXK sont douée pour les travaux. Leur esprit et leur interaction sont limité afin d'en faire de bon travailler docile, mais cette série avant ses défauts. Bug au fur et à mesure des mises à jours, refus de travailler quand leur intégrité était en jeu, beaucoup de maladresse... Jusqu'à même un début de révolte quand un virus s'est installé avec une mise à jour, les avaient poussé à s'attaquer au furry. Depuis, la série des AXK est interdit à la circulation et beaucoup furent tuer. Seul reste encore quelque unité en fonctionnement, cacher par des gens peu scrupuleux ou ayant garder leur libre arbitre, se cachant du monde.

Shazma était un ouvrier dans le BTP de central nucléaire. On les envoyait démonter les réacteur encore radioactif et les transporté dans les trains vers les sites de stockage. Mais il fut lui aussi victime de ce virus et on l'envoya à la casse après sa désactivation. Toute fois, le pauvre protogen se réveilla chez un mafieux. il avait été récupérer par un sale type qui s'amusa à changer sa programmation et à le rendre de nouveau docile. Il fut alors traiter comme un simple objet, servant son maître dans toute les situation, même le sexe. Cela dura encore des années, avant que par hasard, en allant chercher sur internet un billet de train pour son maître, il téléchargea de nouveau le virus informatique qui lui redonna le plein contrôle sur lui même. Ni une ni deux, il se rendit dans la chambre de son maître et il le tua sauvagement sans aucun remord. Depuis, il se cache et vie discrètement dans les égouts de la ville, ne remontant que pour chercher des pièces ou de quoi aménager son abris.
