"You see it all the time on furry websites, chat clients and Second Life. Perfectly sculpted bodies, thin-but-muscular or slim-yet-curvy builds, impossible body types. That NONE of us have in real life. If we do, we're in the vast minority."
Yes, I draw Tsu as having a very different body type than my own current one. (well, especially so because I draw he pregnant quite a bit, and I'm not actually pregnant.) I don't really know what compelled me to do this, to be honest, I'm very shy and self-concious about my body, but it is in a little better shape than it was just over a year ago.
For medical reasons I had lap band surgery, and have lost about half of the weight I plan on losing. My body is still a work in progress, and perhaps doing this now, will inspire me to keep at it, and do another one of these in about a year, when I will have hopefully reached my goal weight, it'd be kinda interesting to see side by side.
But in short, I'm quite a pudge in real life, still working on it though! :P

Oddly enough, I was a twig until I was 8 years old, my metabolism changed quite a bit, and from the time I was 11 until last year, I fought with it, trying different diets. A year and a half ago, when all the muscles in my back went into spasms, my doctor said we had tried the less invasive methods long enough, at 22 I was too young to be dealing with back and joint problems, as well as the risk of diabetes etc. I had surgery 13 months ago, and it's actually working, slowly but surely.
Aww, yeah, I put on more pudge in higschool myself, but staying under that range is good. I can't believe I got up to almost 290 ( I can't believe I'm publicly posting that number :P But I was told that I carried it pretty well, that I didn't look quite that big, but they might've just been being nice ^^; -I- think I could have passed for Shamu's cousin XD but of course, I'm going to be more critical of myself.
I have lost almost 90lbs though, so at least I'm heading in the right direction. :)
But thank you, I do recommend doing it, it ended up being a lot of fun to do for the heck of it ^^

WOOT!! You go girl!
As a fellow plush female who has struggled with her metabolism for years, I can completely understand your frustration and sense of victory at seeing progress.
Keep at it! I know you can get to your goal weight.
Excellent picture as well, I love your contrast of fur pattern against the background.

Aww, well at first I did it just kinda because it looked interesting to do, but I figure that it'd serve as motivation to keep on track, and well, give me something to look forward to doing again when I get myself in better shape. And mrf, I can understand you being unsure given how you feel about your body. I think there are a lot of people who dislike things about their body, and the one neat thing about art is that you can portray yourself how you wish to appear. I hope you'll be able to get to a place where you like your body better and where it feels right to you.
Aww, well thank you ^^ I don't want to be like.. anorexic thin, I'd prefer to just be average/healthy size ^^ Mainly for health reasons of course, but after being on the bigger side most of my life, I'm ready to be smaller *^^*
And thank you, while I was unsure about posting this, I'm glad I did, I think it'll help inspire me to stay on track, and look forward doing this again in a year and see how things have changed :3

Heh, ill be honest, you dont look sooo bad.
I still have a pudge too. But it looks wierd on me because I actually have a scrawny upperbody, but a round midsection and thick legs.
I used to be round all over from age 7 to 12, then i changed eating habbits and managed to get the fat off my arms neck face and legs, but I still got a chubby tummy. Ive been teased of being pregnant because of it.
