Crag had originally spared Moon Song's life after being captured near his underground kingdom because he needed a tutor to teach his son how to use the magic he had recently learned to tap into. But with time Crag came to love the surface dwelling dragoness. Despite the fact her ancestors once raged a genocide of his people forcing there exile deep among the bones of the earth. For a moment the old hatreds of the past could be ignored, for a moment in the pale light of the moon they could love and forget the world and its responsibilities. Forget the sins of there fathers.
