Honah Lee with her dowsing rod, looking for the old well...
A little Coraline cosplay =). It was really interesting to try to draw it in the Coraline style, as well.. even though trying to replicate the style in 2d doesn't really do it justice..
Honah Lee the Peledragon belongs to
aaaamory, and Coraline is copyright Neil Gaiman and Laika Studios.
Done in Micron inks and acrylic paints on 9"x12" illustration board.

maaaan that sucks! why didn't you just ask a friend from the states to mail a copy to you? or you could order it from an ebay or gamestop store, so that you can get it when it originally comes out.
either way, if you're willing to paypal or something to someone i'm sure they wouldn't see an issue to mail you a copy of whatever it is you want. it's a good method ^^ i'd so do that if i was somewhere an i had to wait a loooong time for something to get to me naturally. lol

that's true, but it also depends on where you bought your system. like there are some japanese systems i could buy that'll only play japanese made dvd's, or a foreign xbox that only plays foreign xbox games, so yea, it really just depends. an it wouldn't be worth to buy a US system just so you could watch the US exported dvd's you ordered from someone here *shrugs* they need to make a universal system with universal dvd's, lol
It is an excellent movie. Visually it is very unique - really amazing stop motion work... and also very stylized.
Its a shame that you didn't get to see it in theaters - Noriko and I saw it (with
aaaamory in fact) in 3d, and that really added a whole new dimension (haw haw) to it. When something is animated digitally, then 3d is okay but seems somewhat contrived - but when its live action or stop motion, the 3d is really amazing.
Anyways, short version - yes - see it =)

this is joining my anual halloween movies, along side nightmare before christmas, and hocus pocus... (what? i will not apologize for being a 10 year old trapped in an adult body)
and i plan to show this movie to my baby sister when she gets a bit older and can apreciate it...it has alot of important lessons that children need to hear...trust your instincts, even the devil can have a friendly face, if things seem too good to be true, they probably are, etc...but right now she plays that shes scared of everything more dramatic then spongebob...
i shouted at her for walking into a faerie circle and then jumping up and down on it...never a good idea...
