Dr. Krankcase and Luminous' son Boltclank is an amputee like his father, except unlike Krankcase, he is only amputeed up to his knees and not the entire legs.

How he is an amputee is kinda sad really, as a baby, he was born with weak and infected legs, a trip to a medical doctor says a surgery is too risky and expensive for an infant, so later that night, his father replaced his legs with wooden implants that resemble boots, and is going to be fine. And they get replaced every time he grows up, ending up being like rocket boots.
