For Anthrocon 2017, the convention theme was "Take me out to the ballgame". Now to me, coming as I do from the UK, baseball is a strange sport that tries to make cricket a little bit better.
On the flipside, lots of teams have animal names, so a Detroit Tiger(ess) seemed an easy option.
The song lyrics obviously come from the 1908 song of the same name as the title - this piece was featured in the Anthrocon 2017 convention book on page 33.
