i love it because it's different; Swire really went inwards to find something that he enjoyed doing and could put his all into. as good as he is with traditional drum n bass production, i feel as though his strength lies in what he's doing now.

To me Swire's vocals seemed forced and unemotional, there just doesn't seem to be as much effort put into In Silico as there was in HYC. Then again, its all a matter of opinion =3

yeah, definitely. at this point i more or less find myself using the pen tool and some stock photography and the like :]

the pen tool is a source of great frustration and great fun

in regards to stock = so true; what's the point in trying to capture what you need if somebody's already captured it perfectly :]

and yeah, i've tried out illustrator but it's honestly not the thing for me as far as comfort goes :] since most of what i do isn't vector-based, i loves me my photoshop :]

the pen tool is great because it's just so nice and sharp; now if only photoshop had a good, HARD brush setting like other apps do (SAI PaintTool i'm looking at you, you sexy beast :|)

if you've ever used SAI's brushes, you'll know that there's really nothing like it digitally - it's just INCREDIBLY sharp and defined.
