That is a... very unexpected and untoward response to a question. I'd call it rude even. Taruuu asked how it's suppose to be helpful, and I can see why. It's titled "Paw tutorial" when it's really paw references, and the fact it says "tutorial" implies there is a step-by-step process or a guide on how to draw them.
These paws are meant to help artists learn how the paw is posed during certain actions. Despite the piece being called a tutorial, it's a set of references and their purpose is if you get stuck trying to mentally draw a paw, you can search a picture like this up to figure out how it should look.
It's the same as searching up body references, hand references, eye references, and other such.

But, like, wouldn't that just be tracing if you're working off of those references to yourself? Of course, I'm an amateur-as-frick furry artist over here who's never had any anatomy/art lessons in his life, but I feel like if I used solely this as a guide to break down and determine how hand-paws should be drawn, then what if my hand-paws are based off of
's style too much to the point where people call me a copycat or worse? For that matter, if I search through hundreds if not thousands or millions of photos and perspectives online, I feel like I'd get so damn overwhelmed and discouraged to the point where I'm not improving as fast as literally every single furry artist in the fandom. And believe me, I know some artists that work fairly slowly yet are still faster than I am as far as improving. ;_;
I'm likely reading far too much into this, but I'm just naturally stressed when trying to improve like everyone else when it comes to furry art. Plus I was gonna comment what
had brought up earlier till he beat me to it long ago. lol

OddButOkay-AfterDark is closing soon, so I'll answer on my main.
So, your worry is based solely on being an ameature artist who, given context clues, might not know all that much about using references, both photo and drawn.
First and foremost, you aren't tracing if you aren't literally tracing. Unless you are taking these paws and drawing over them, you are not tracing. If you use AnChee's work as reference a lot, you'll end up sharing similarities in style. In fact, any artist you look up you you slowly take bits of what they draw and incorperate it into your work one way or another, and these little bits and pieces you draw end up creating your own style.
Keeping on the subject of paws, AnChee has a specific style, more toony yet still somewhat realistic. Other artists who draw paws like this are FurKingHell StrawberryMilk and Seamen yet, despite sharing the short, nubby qualities of Anchee's hands they are all very unique. None of the artists came up with this hand style and all are influenced to draw them like that because it looks nice to them. None of these artists trace eachother or give eachother grief for drawing hands the same way.
If you're truly worried about someone calling you a copycat over how you draw a hand, I'll assure you that you are worrying over very little. And someone who claims you stole someone's style is absolutely out of their head with nothing better to do but harrass amature artists.
Finding your style is always hard, same as improving your quality. But believe me, draw what you like how you like and learn anatomy, those two can very easily improve your style and quality.
Cheers!

Hey, OBO! Thanks for getting back to me! Yeah, I noticed that you were closing up that account, yet I still replied to that comment in particular that you made with said account. lol But thanks for noticing it on your newer account!
Yeah, more or less. Like, I know I wouldn't pull a "deviantART" and take something and claim it mine (or trace over it and post it, whether I claim it or not). XD But on the other paw, looking up any tutorial or reference pose/posture online - be it through photos or other artwork - just looks and seems to complicated and overwhelming to consider and try out, and I ultimately get discouraged. So yeah, I don't know much as far as do's and don'ts with references.
Well, obviously not solidly drawing over every inch of original artwork, I know that. lol But I've been told that even so much as taking artwork and "breaking them down" into smaller shapes via sketches and learn from them that way (i.e. lightly tracing over a hand-paw gesture and then breaking down each part and digit into basic shapes or easier ways to shape them or draw them loosely as I'm always too geometric when I shouldn't be like that for artwork). So speaking in terms of digital artwork, if I did that using
's hand-paw sketch collection here - adding a layer over the original drawing, sketching over them, breaking them down, and trying to understand how they work - that's okay, right? And that makes sense as far as developing and sharing a similar style if I kept that up and learned from that. Same applies to every artist then? Well I guess that's true considering I have a best friend that has helped me understand before about certain things regarding drawing furries; thanks to her, I can draw muzzles at least (and even those I need work on as well as everything else). lol
Exactly! That's the style of hand-paws I love though! Toony but realistic! Semi-realistic even! Aetshetically appealing if you will! That what I'd love for my furry artwork so much! But I simply haven't been able to master that and have otherwise been doing semi-decent work. You'll probably agree if you check out my Gallery (starting from 2017 unless you wanna check out all my previous traditional stuff). ;^_^ Ah, yeah, I can actually see some similarities in their artwork! And they've been able to make those styles theirs; that's clearly their own talent and way of doing those hand-paws! All of them including
are amazing! Yet what you're saying is despite how similar they look with the nubby qualities of those hand-paws, they're still different from each other, right?

So they came up with this style of hand-paws - or, rather, their own, similar hand-paws based on this style - not because it looks nice to them but because they wanna learn from that through sketches over them and then, from that, make hand-paws that are more their style, right? And I would hope those guys aren't stealing from each other or copying or doing things exactly that way.
Yeah, that I am. I tend to be my harshest enemy a lot with quite a lot of things, especially for trying to be a good furry artist! ;>w< Ugh, I hate those jerks. 'Course it kinda hits me slightly harder when that happens as I'm Aspie and can take offense to anyone trying to be sarcastic with me. That said, I'm all up for artists being brutally honest with me provided they actually show me what I can improve on and how (bonus points if they "red-line" or help me learn something new like a certain part of anatomy).
Believe me, I'm still trying to learn a lot, and I do want to learn! Hell, with a lot of encouragement from that best friend of mine (before things unfortunately soured), I've been trying to improve as often as I can, and it shows! ^w^ I still need a lot of work to even be considered for commissions. Thank you very much, OBO. I'll do my best to keep on drawing what I want to and enjoy. As for anatomy, I've never taken any courses on that, and anatomy alone is pretty frickin' daunting and intimidating to learn 'cause I tend to overthink and be critical towards myself about everything. I just wish it were easier (especially like how
,
,
, and
make it so easy and flawless). TwT
Of course, I sadly can't do much right now 'cause my tablet driver doesn't work on my laptop now, and the company for my tablet hasn't updated the driver for that specific model yet. Haven't been able to draw since the beginning of the year. ;w; Then again, I'm still dealing with a lot of personal, emotional, mental issue 'cause of stress from said friend of mine, but I'm hanging in there as best as I can. And when I do get things working again, I'm gonna take all the advantages I can get and try referencing - as least what I understand it to be - as best as I can. >w<
And thank you very much once again for getting back to me on this, OBO. :3 You're very nice in wanting to clarify stuff for this "ameature artist." Even if said "ameature artist" sadly doesn't know much and still has a hard time with understanding and using references, both photo and drawn. ;^w^

Hey,
! May you please make an actual tutorial that breaks down step-by-step how to draw stuff like this? To me, these are just references and perspectives, but it's hard enough as it is for me to draw a proper hand-paw at all. So any and all help for this mediocre furry artist would be wholly beneficial! ;^_^
