In her previous mortal life, Kay'refei was a career thief that lived on the streets Mumbai during the 1st century that ended up being captured by the local authorities and spent most of her teens and twenties as an incarcerated doll for men. Sold off to a high ranking officer, she became his personal play thing and a servant of his household. Eventually she managed to slay the entire family and then take her own life. Carrion met her at the Cross-roads and has been looking after her ever since.
