Armand was a young fox born in France during the second Empire in the town of Montbéliard, as his mother die of Typhus when he was just 9 years old, his father raised him by his own and always made sure to take great care of the young fox's education and development on his way to become an accomplished man : He always told to Armand that an imperial officer must be both brave and willing to fight, but also civilized and courteous. Because if he is only bold and eager to play with his sword he will be nothing but a barbarian. And if he is only fancy and well mannered, he will be a lady trapped in a man's body. But if he is both he will be a modern times knight.
he then studdied in the military academy to become a high ranked officer like his father, he also made sure he understood and learn maneers to act properly in a civilized society.
But always he was bullied and mistreated by his older, bigger and stronger peers in the academy, and Armand almost thought that destiny simlpy hated him when he was promised to an arranged marriage with a vixen he didn't love...
But before they could discuss of the arrangements between both families, his father was ordered by the emperor to a mission in Cambodia to settle a protectorate in this South east asian kingdom. He then decided to take his son with him as it will be a nice experience for his future military career.
Armand was then excited to go to these distant lands full of wonders that he heard about, he first hoped that his father and him would go to the rich lands of Cochinchina, with those rich silk, gemstones, gold and spices. But then got disapointed when he learned that they will be sent to a small kingdom that they never heard about... Not to mention all those soldiers who viewed him as nothing but an untried child trying to look like a man.
But this made him even more eager to prove his worth and courage on the ground, but he was far from imagining all the wonders he would discover and the adventures he would live, not only in Cambodia, but all over South-east Asia...
