June-La entered her workshop, a towel wrapped around her body. Casually she moved over to her computers and started to type. Around the room a number of holographic projectors and speakers began to hum as they came online. The light shimmered and slowly a beach scene began to form. June-La smiled. The Warrant Officer removed her towel, revealing a black bikini, and set it out on top of a bench. June-La streatched, working out the day's kinks in her back and shoulders. She climbed up onto the table, reclining on the towel. From nearby a robotic arm reached across, holding out a bottle of engine coolant. The echidna giggled. It was her favourite brand.
"Thank you, Sweetie," she said, taking the bottle.
June-La took a sip, savouring the 'minty' flavour. She made a mental note to use it in her next batch of homemade rotgut. The Warrant Officer glanced over to another robotic arm, smiling kindly.
"Excuse me, Sweetie," she said to the arm. "Could you please give Mommy some light and heat?"
The arm, it's tip fitted with a welder, rose up to it's full height, coming inline with the holographic sun projected on the ceiling. The robot activated, bright sparks flashing harshly. June-La closed her eyes and took another sip of coolant.
"Thanks, Baby. You can stop in about thirty minutes."
The echidna relaxed, listening to the beach sounds and feeling the warmth from the sun/welder. She had worked hard during the day, and now it was time to enjoy a little downtime...
