No One really knows who is Spade or who he used to be. There is a story that he was once a famous magician in a small country in Europe. That he used to bedazzle people with his tricks that no other magician could accomplished. He was loved by his fans... that is until he disappeared one night, leaving a chest in his room opened that had a cursed item that he had received from an anonymous person. That cursed item is the mask he wears on his face.
The Cursed Mask had a devilish Spirit that had possessed his whole being and caused him to go mad. With this item, He had gained newfounded Dark and evil powers. He disappeared from his room, never to be seen again in the town he lived in.
He enjoys finding new victims to use his "tricks", which ended in either a gruesome death or they go mad themselves. Always looking for new vitcims, he ventures into the night...
He's probably most likely gonna be some kind of Subboss character.

You have to, that has become on of my favorite anime of all time, the only things I don't like is that they made horrible games for that show and the ending didn't show everyone after Maka had beaten Kinshin but other than that it is something you need to watch, it might even give you some ideas for characters too ^^
