BMPs are out in force this year, seems its a exceptional year for their breeding. Swarms of them, usually around flood lights at night and their mating calls near wetlands and swamps.

Swamps are more MT-LB territory. At least the really nasty swamps where the 'ground' is either watery mud or muddy water without a lot of difference between them.

Always wondered how an A-10 fares against modern tanks, rather than just going after leftovers from the cold war.

All you need is an m-kill. A stopped tank is a dead tank.

Then there’s the fact that panzers aren’t heavily armored all over the chassis...the thickest steel faces the direction of attack so you hit where the heaviest plating and/or reactive armor isn’t.

Or you just pound him to paste with a guided, shaped-charge, high-speed munition.

We had a few A-10s in the Europe I scheme visiting the ramp at Wurtsmith AFB back in the 80s.
