Youtube is dead, long live DTube
After roughly two months of work, I'm happy to start the month of July with a positive announcement: All of my animations are now back up and available to the public! They are available on the decentralized video platform DTube and can be found at my new channel:
https://d.tube/c/mirceakitsune
The effort took longer than was initially expected for a few reasons. First I had to make some changes to DTube itself, in order to enable and properly manage encoding my videos in all available formats (240p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, source): By default d.tube only enables 480p encoding to save server resources, so I had to set up my own mirror with customized encoding rules. Additionally I had to implement support for 1080p in the interface, for which my pull request was accepted and should be in the next official release of DTube.
I ran into other issues after that. One was discovering that Firefox for Linux won't play videos encoded in the yuv444p format (chroma subsampling) over the supported yuv420p, whereas DTube itself won't work well with avi files on top of that. I thus had to manually convert my source videos as well, making sure they play for everyone on any web browser and platform.
Afterward came the problem of pinning: For videos to load decently (as decently as they can through gateway.ipfs.io until DTube implements local gateway support) there have to be nodes serving the content with as much uptime as possible. Another 3D artist contacted me through Furaffinity and was kind enough to pin all videos and their dependencies on their go-ipfs node. Meanwhile last night I finished pinning them on the IPFS node of my mother's computer... basically whenever she is online, my DTube videos should theoretically load faster for all viewers too.
I decided to announce this moment with a full drawing in my usual style. I wanted to offer a huge "thank you" to DTube for creating such an amazing project ahead of its time, next to a huge "fuck you" to Youtube / Google for giving moderator abilities to internet trolls who are still using them to remove videos / channels as their psychotic minds please without anyone stepping in to reestablish order on the platform. I strongly advice every other content creator to abandon Youtube immediately and create a STEEM account to use DTube as well.
Below is a list of all my old animations, starting with my first ever camera tracking test in 2012. The first ones are less interesting, however this might be a good opportunity to explore any project I created in the past in case you missed it at the time.

I'd only be upset if someone took Youtube's side for what they're doing. As I said in my previous posts, they seem to be targeting people at random now... especially small channels and artists from the looks of it. The situation is pretty much out of control like I said: If you post a cartoon taken from TV, you can get your channel removed because you supposedly posted pornography... then if you appeal the sentence you might get an even bigger punishment instead of a solution (I can confirm this from own experience).
This will never happen on DTube and other platforms like it to come. Not just because I trust the teams, but because it's technologically impossible to take censorship this far on them: The only form of filtering (currently only used for DMCA takedowns) is done at HTML level, which can be worked around by setting up your own copy of the site which is super easy. The videos people see when clicking on my channel are streamed from random computers worldwide, including my mother's PC and of course my own (when I choose to start the daemon)... no one can make them go away from here unless they send the cops after me and hundreds of other people across the planet.
The decentralized internet is the beginning of the end for the thought police. Unless they attempt some extreme ideas which even I don't think they would consider, there is nothing they can do to stop us any more. With cyptocurrency, similar alternatives for platforms like Patreon will hopefully exist as well soon enough.

My biggest concern for now is to see the decentralized internet taking off becoming the new norm... it seems to be happening, but very slowly. After that I wish to see how far governments could ever go to try and control that as well: The only way would be to regulate open-source software and force developers to impose censorship mechanisms on users, or to mandate censorship programs on all computers in the world... both would be absolutely insane and I doubt even they'd cross that line, however I know those people are crazy and capable of anything (once you say the words "stop terrorism and child porn" anything becomes acceptable to many).
Absolute freedom... as much as I hate to say it, I'm aware that isn't the best option either. At least in real life, where total anarchy would mean everything goes up in flames and gang members shoot us dead in the streets. Online it's different however: Unless people hack your accounts or steal your money or spread lies about you and ruin your image, you are in no danger... pixels on a screen aren't dangerous, no matter how much some fanatics have convinced themselves otherwise. Online we can and should have (near) absolute freedom, and I'm eager for when we will take that back and make the internet what it was supposed to be once again.

Once ISIS is gone, the government will try to empower new threats in order to keep us scared and under control. ISIS is finally being defeated, yet already we're seeing the replacements in the making: Nazis are suddenly treated as if they're a big deal again, immigrants are used as a scarecrow to justify mass deportations and other human rights abuses, whereas organizations like ICE or parts of the US police force are literally becoming the new face of terrorism (legal terrorism this time). Those issues too will be solved eventually... and once they are, they'll find a new enemy to scare us with and justify a repression system they won't want to let go of.
As is obvious, yes: I do have a great distrust toward authority ingrained, to which I will go back a lot (even unconsciously). Governments, parents, now even site admins and more... they're all desperately trying to meddle in people's lives, ruining any nice thing others could enjoy with their control, spreading their obsessive interference like a disease into everything, claiming they know better and it's all for your own good (when you know they know jack shit). I've seen it happen so many times at different scales for years, from my childhood to present day... now in the last year it's gotten worse than it's ever been since the 90's (an all out assault on free thought).
The logical conclusion for me is that most humans, by nature, aren't just delusionally paranoid but instinctively power mad: They want control over other people's lives at any cost. To control anything anyone writes or draws or animates, the spreading of any idea they cannot tolerate, any thought that goes through anothers brain. Look at FA and most art sites for the closest example: You still cannot make certain fictional drawings due to ideological containment... in the year 2018, when some are getting ready to send people to Mars instead! I'm just emphasizing how bad this mindset is overall.
Who and how am I to trust in the face of this? Everyone's judgment seems to be broken! Any group that has power over others will abuse it to satisfy this need of total life control. It's always been that way then... why would it be any different now?
In the case of governments, it's likely an addiction they can no longer quit (like a drug): The idea of having a camera that can spy on every person and tell you what they're doing... if possible a thought scanner to tell them what you're thinking too! They'll use every social issue available to explain why it's needed: Either it's the terrorists, either the Nazis, either someone else. Once those run out, they have to create a new excuse to maintain those systems... otherwise they lose their godlike privilege they cannot live without. That's how I see it at least... I don't know how wrong that might be, I'll need to see more change to believe otherwise.
(Note: I wrote this at 4:30 AM when I'm really tired, thus I might not be quite as lucid as I'd be during the day, please forgive that)

I know and I agree. I'm honestly sorry that I'm this way so much of the time now: Believe me that I don't want it either, I think anyone would have to be crazy to enjoy living in such stress. It's just the mindset I'm used to due to all the horrible experiences happening around us these days.
Just so you know: A lot of other people are telling me exactly what you're saying... including my mother who you actually sound so alike to, which is a good thing as she's a really nice being. Again, thank you... and same goes to others who are trying to help out. At least there are a lot of good and sane beings around me as well, even if perhaps as powerless in the whole picture of things... knowing that does help a lot in and of itself.
I hope you can get Skype working properly for you. Then maybe you can also join Discord as well: It's much better and I could later try to introduce you to other groups if you wish, there are more like minded people there who you'd surely enjoy meeting.

I had to delete my animations to avoid losing my channel. It has happened to me as well... but I'm in a Discord group with the others so I know their stories as well.
It's not specifically vore however, this is a common misconception: It's happening to everyone on the platform. My recent videos didn't even have the word vore in them nor were they sexual to even hint in that direction... yet they still got attacked by the system. It appears they're no longer allowing small art and animation and gaming channels in general: If you have more than half a million subscribers (meaning you generate enough ad revenue for Google) you can still post artwork, if not they randomly take down your videos pretending it's either porn or hate speech.
I suspect it's a tactic to free up storage and bandwidth: Small channels like us only eat up their resources, and Youtube now serves the big figures (PewDiePie, Logan Paul, etc) exclusively. It needs every resource available for them. They could have at least had the decency to make that clear to our faces, but since when does a company like Google have such a thing?

I hear stories from various content creators. Someone had a video of themselves playing a game taken down for "hate speech" several months ago. There are people who have their videos removed for merely posting unedited (only cropped) versions of cartoons taken from kids television... for being sexual content. So yeah, Google has lost its mind.
Google is pretty much the Chinese Communist Party of the internet. Don't think many of us would have imagined what they'd become, over a decade ago back when they were that little company of awesome geeks who even had a "don't be evil" motto on the wall. They're the perfect example of how Capitalism can be a poison.
They age-restricted one of my animations as being sexual, when it had nothing to do with such a thing. When I appealed the decision to let them know they made a mistake, they went ahead and deleted it with a strike in response, likely as revenge for "bothering" them. I appealed that too and they quickly rejected it. Three times in a row they were unable to see basic common sense right in front of them... how that is will remain a lifetime long question.
Someone else lost their channel after getting three strikes about "sexual content"... for nothing more than posting unedited moments from cartoons aired on kids television, meaning kids stuff on TV is considered too disruptive for the open internet according to Youtube. I've heard of someone having videos of video games deleted as hate speech. There's people who lost their channels because they made a joke about eating tide pods. It's sheer insanity.

Check out https://bit.tube as well... I'll have an announcement regarding that a bit later. Youtube looks like it's inevitably going to destroy itself, and they have only themselves to blame for that... BitTube is fast approaching to take its place and already reached 1% of its adoption.
