A while back,
DJcroc2016 came to me with a proposal that sounded too ridiculous to be true. "Hey, wanna turn the one little rune thing you have as an avatar into an entire written language for Azira's species?". To my amazement, she wasn't joking and soon enough, I ended up with a complete rune language for Azira's species.
I figured I'd make her something in return, so I drew her fursona for her. The character has a skateboard on the reference sheet and while I wasn't sure if skating was a big part of the character I was keen to try out some cool aerial pose. So here we go. There's also a laser beam in the background since lasers seems to be one of the things people find most popular in her work. :D
I managed to take enough care with the lineart that I could colour entirely with the magic wand and the fill tool, which was kinda cool as well. I also tried a very different style of highlights for this that a friend of mine suggested, colouring straight onto the lineart layer. I think it worked ok as a bit of an experiment, but I don't know if I'll keep using it exclusively for highlights.
Anyhow, thanks again :devdjcroc:, hope you like her!
