Occasionally, I have an excuse to bake and decorate a cake.

Was planning for flowers, but I lost my petal tip, so you get hair blobs instead. Also the glaze was too warm when I started pouring, so it ended up translucent and ran down the sides, but the overall effect is good. Compositionally, the pedestal doesn't look very good. It needs to be taller (Worried about fitting into cake box for transport) and probably colored.

Next time, colored pedestal, white fondant on the base tier, two batches of glaze.

Also, Netflix recommended "Nailed It" right after I posted the preliminary shots of this last night. While watching minimally competent people take on creative tasks is extremely entertaining, I feel like we need to have a talk about basic art skills, like sculpting and mixing colors.
