This was a bit of an oddity for me but, well... *shrugs* as they say, you gotta give 'em what they want.
Some of you might recall that I mentioned a young gel who had asked me to create a "pony-sona" for her? Well- Here's a Charity Commission from that lovely young woman whom I'm lucky enough to call 'friend'. *head tilts* Maybe much, much more...
Although the rules of the charity commission project I provided state that I would make a two-character ink and colour image, she insisted that she preferred it to just be a sketch, liking the "emotion and technique of my linework" or somesuch... *shrugs, sheepishly grinning* The discussion went something like this:
"So, what is it you want then, O?" "I want you to draw us. Us, kissing in the buff." "Hold up- You want me to draw me, naked, kissing a My Little Pony?" "No, US, Ashley, IRL, US. You're okay with that, right?" -a moment of awkward silence- "Yes, I am. But...are you sure about that? Because-" "Yes, I am. Don't be obstinate." "Well... all right, love... but I really think you should know-" "What?" "I'm pretty sure you misused that word."
What followed was a brief string of slurs which my Spanish is not good enough to translate but I think she meant well.

And yes, Oralia likes ZADR as much as I do. *laughs* EAT ME, it's adorable.

Yep. That's the one. I'm glad you like it, love. I've probably listened to it a ... is "jillion" a real number? *shrugs* Anywhoop, that many times at this point.

Beautiful. It takes courage to say "no 'sona, us."
(hrm... I only watched a couple episodes of Zim back in the day (because I was a dumb teenager who only liked bright happy things), but, even I got the sense there was something between the lead characters that didn't feel like pure hero vs. villain, more like obsession and denial...)

Have I ever mentioned that you have a certain quality of both intellectualism and rakish charm that I find very appealing?
And YES. I agree entirely on the point regarding Invader Zim and the whole concept of ZADR, in general. I know when I first caught a glimpse of the show I wrote it off as well, though I forget exactly why... something about the art style? Maybe I was just being an asshole that day. *shrugs* It happens. Now though, it's one of those irreplaceable parts of my dvd collection I have to crack open and binge-watch from time to time.
Looking back on the show, the whole concept of ZADR reeeeeeeally seems more sensible to me than most give it credit for, comparable to maybe the whole "Batman/Joker" theory some artists have touched on over the years... just more... yes.

Jealous. I'd love to be able to binge watch Zim. I'm not really qualified to speak of ships and theories based on half-formed fever memories of watching Power Rangers snack down rubber monsters with a giant Zord-sword, and Zim gathering organs to pass the school health exam as a human, while sick on the couch one day. :P

'Naked' = 'Nu' in French. For the literal translation. There's a lot of slang terms for it as well. One of them always make me chuckle as a fur: it's the term 'a poils' which literally means 'in the fur', as in you're only wearing the natural hair of your body. 'Poils' being the term used for the hair that's not on top of your head, like your eyebrows, hair on your chest, arms, legs, etc...
