But naming all of them is kind of fun too, you know? I can never get an exact translation, so I play around with any puns I can find. Like one character I had, Kiki Chiga. Her name started off as "crazy person" which due to how google translate's suggestions, I found out that the "Ki" part could be used twice to mean "smoke", so I added that as part of her background.

I guess I can see that. It's just so confusing when you have to deal with the romanisation of the translations as well.
I know Mahou means "magic", but it can be spelled in other ways too. Which is why something like "Mage" could translate to "Majutsu-shi" or "mahōtsukai" depending on the kanji used.
