Not having the luxury of the Gravity Suit, Samus Aran's journey to rescue her best friend Ridley, who had drifted down the river in a wooden box while hiding from a bear, seemed hopeless. Luck seemed to favor her though, for the moment she had almost decided to resign Ridley to his fate, she happened upon a large, seafaring, croissant-shaped bug who offered her passage into the treacherous territory. Resisting the immediate urge to blast it to bits, Samus decided to trust the insectoid marine lifeform and mounted it's platform-esque back. The trip was awkward for both parties, but Samus had to press on. She had, in the process, learned that not all strangers were untrustworthy...That didn't stop her from launching a salvo of missiles at the beast once she was back on dry land, though...
