A few years ago I worked for the state DNR as a history interpreter. One of my duties was as a loader on a Civil War 12 lb. Napoleon cannon. One of the demos we did was as a living history demo commemorating the opening of the USAHEC http://www.carlisle.army.mil/ahec/ in Carlisle PA. We were situated next to a 105mm howitzer of modern vintage. It was so fun talking and working with the modern counterparts. Pictures were taken of us both firing (blanks of course) and swapping guns... I do wish I had some of those....
