I’m probably getting a lot of hate for saying this, but after seeing how bad episode eight and episode nine have been, I guarantee you that I don’t see the prequels (with the exception of episode one) as that bad. The prequel trilogy was his first time directing on his own without any help…. Which means he didn’t have much experience at the time. I think people had put their expectations way too damn high. The reason why he sold it to Disney in the first place was because he felt that he couldn't make anything better and was kinda getting depressed over the amount of backlash received because of the prequel trilogy. I very much would prefer if Lucas was in charge of the sequel trilogy rather than idiots like Kathleen Kennedy who are obsessed with social commentary.

I kinda roll my eyes whenever I hear somebody complain about the prequel’s nowadays because compared to the two monstrosities that are Star Wars episode eight: the last Jedi and Star Wars episode nine: the rise of Skywalker…Episodes two and three weren’t that bad in my opinion. Yes, people could point to how Jake Lloyd’s life following the release of the Phantom Menace has been an absolute mess but that was due to bullying and harassment…. I don’t blame Lucas for that happening at all.

I very much prefer Lucas’s original ideas to contemporary third wave feminist garbage any day.
