“Whisper, come down! If you don’t, I will get the ladder and come get you!” A voice called to her from below.
Her ears lazily twitched at the familiar voice, yet she refused to move from the tree. She rolled her eyes at his empty threat as she glanced down at him. She tossed a dagger at him; (un)fortunately, it missed him by a few inches. She intentionally missed- this time, but only because he was her friend and she was in a good mood. Watching him storm off, she playfully waved bye to him and leaned back against the tree trunk.
Did he seriously think she was going to move from her favorite spot just so he would make her go on a mission or worse, spend time with him? It was not happening- not today. Earlier that morning, she had climbed her favorite tree, a sakura, in the field behind her house. She had wanted to have a little alone time to unwind before everyone started bothering her for the day. This particular tree shared so many memories with her, it felt like an old, familiar friend. It had been around since she was a child- and like herself, it had matured and beautifully blossomed with age. It was her secret hideout from the world, not to mention her escape from the heat…its petals shading her against the harsh sun, only allowing beads of light to shine through to accentuate her soft, brown fur.
As the petals from the tree calmly swayed in the warm breeze and brushed up against her, she took in the their lively, sweet smelling scent. Her mind filled with remnants of her past, reminiscing over the better, easier times in her life. Plucking a few flowers to take back with her, she could not help but smile to herself: how it is something so simple could bring her so much pleasure and happiness? But then, sometimes the best things in life are the simplest…
Today, was going to be a good day- she could feel it~
I usually do not submit art this early in the week but I decided to make an exception today. I wanted to post something special for my birthday- and while I have had this piece for a few weeks now, I wanted to wait for the right occasion to repost it to my gallery because of how much I like it. That and I think most of my watchers enjoy seeing Whisper’s softer side as much as her fighter side so I thought this piece would be a nice change of pace-
I am pretty sure anyone that knows me, real life or online, knows I love cherry blossoms- why does Whisper love cherry blossoms? I guess the symbolism behind them for one thing, not to mention how wonderful they smell. So this piece was a dream come true for me- having my girl surrounded by her favorite flower as she lays in pure bliss, enjoying the peace and tranquility of her surroundings. Rather than spend her birthday surrounded by tons of people fussing over her, Whisper is content just being by herself and enjoying the simple things that make her happy. However, if you are a close friend, you are welcome to join her in her tree and keep her company- but only if bring her a slice of cake or some strawberry pocky!
Random fact: Whisper’s birthday is July 24: that was the day when she was first created (That explains her fiery, Leo spirit!) Nonetheless, I tend to celebrate her birthday the same day as mine since she is based off me. And technically she is only 6, going on 7 years old for those of you wondering how old she is. But in human years, she is in her early 30s- yes, she ages very well.
I want to give a VERY special thank you to the artist- and someone I would like to consider a friend and wonderful person, vertry for this gorgeous piece! Seriously though, look at that background! The detail is phenomenal. I have said it once and I will say it again: if you are not watching her, please do so! Such a wonderful artist to work with and definitely deserves more watchers. Thank you so much again!

I wish I had more time and actual thoughts to think of a good storry for my subissions to when I post them.
But I think that will come with time. I hope.

Well I was telling another friend yesterday I find it surprising that people actually read my stories since this is a site for art. But that makes me so happy to know that there are a few people that enjoy my writings; I will try to keep them up as long as I can, if nothing else to add a little depth to some of my commissions.
I think you could easily write some stories with some of the awesome art you get! What I usually do is hold off on posting a commission until I think of a description or story that accentuates the piece (probably why I am so behind on posting art, LOL). I would definitely read your stories if you posted some with your art; I know you can do it~
Well I was telling another friend yesterday I find it surprising that people actually read my stories since this is a site for art. Don't worry about being so behind on posting art as you really make each subuission a real masterpiece. I mean the picture itself is one thing but if you have something to say about it it gives the picture your thoughts so the viewer can understand what message the picture should give the viewer. that is very nice.

Haha, yes. It (was) my birthday yesterday! I just do not make a big fuss about it because I do not want anyone to make a big deal about it. So your hug was a nice gift for me~

Aww, thank you! It really surprises me that she does not have more watchers considering the detail she puts into her work...and she wonders why I keep coming back for her art each time, LOL

Haha, my birthday was actually quite...stressful. I had to deal with some nonsense at work which gave me such a headache! But...that's the joy of being an adult: sucking it up and dealing with nonsense. Ah well, I'm another year older, hopefully wiser, and doing well!
...heck yeah you can join me in the middle of nowhere- just don't bring anyone annoying along with you, LOL.
