Scooter meets Scooter meets Scooter
Names can be confusing, you know.
Zee-Zee: Hi, Scooter! Hey, I thought you were a squirrel now!
Scooter Skunkbunny: I'm not a squirrel! Why does everyone keep saying that?
Scooter Squirrel: I think I can explain, cubs. You see, sometimes two different people can have the same name. It doesn't mean they're the same person, or the same species.
Zee-Zee: Ohhhh, I see. And my Scooter plushie?
Scooter Squirrel: Also not me.
Scooter Skunkbunny: He's cute, though! Can I play with him?
Reference that nobody's going to get: Zee-Zee's shorts are falling down at one side and he's pulling them back up. In the first few episodes of Muppet Babies, Scooter was always doing this. But they stopped animating it after the first season, so maybe he grew into them.
Also, I really want a Baby Scooter plushie!

Um, yep, just kidding all along! I knew that! Heehee, actually, Zee-Zee had never experienced two people with the same name before, and he had a conversation earlier on that went like this:
Zee-Zee: Scooter's not a squirrel, silly, he's a skunky-bunny!
Other cub: Nuh-uh, I talked to him today and he's a big grown-up squirrel!
Zee-Zee: Oh, he musta grown up and turned into a squirrel since last time I saw him...

One of my high-school teachers worked on The Fraggles and had a bunch of puppets around his office. I found it really creepy how they just laid there instead of dancing around like you'd expect them to...
Anyway, Scooter does look a bit like a squirrelly, but that's just one of the downsides of being a hybrid, I guess...

Wow, Zee-Zee. This is awesome, thanks for including me in one of your awesome pieces! Yeah, I didn't know when I chose my name that there were any other furs out there with the same name (I looked good first cause I don't like stealing peoples names or anything, but not good enough I guess). I like the little story you put to these too. :)
*raises eyebrow* Is that so? I'm sure a few caretakers around the furr den would be more than happy to grant that wish. *giggles* Just teasing Zee-Zee. I bet you meant you were young enough to have been able to get some of them right? Instead of a different style available when you were younger?
Cute and clever as always. I am particularly into how you noted the confusion little ones can encounter when in the midst of others who share in their name and/or the name of someone they know. This is because, growing up, I found myself always feeling as if I was the subject of something as I seemed to share the same name with everyone else in the area. *sigh* I hoped to spare my son this experience, but it seems everyone these days is partial to the name we've given him, too. Kazootles!
*giggle* I grew up in a tiny, tiny village (about 25 houses) which nonetheless had two unrelated families of Hodgsons, and that confused me no end. That's mainly the inspiration for this picture, although as I got older the name-coincidence that always annoyed me was the way everybody seems to call their dog 'Ben' ^.^
