Started as a pun, decided to make something of it. Also, I have not sketched in so long. >.-.<
So, the kahn-garou (you can also spell it kahngarou without the dash, if you like) is a bizzare mix of a tiger, wolf, and kangaroo. The overall body shape is that of a roo's, though it prefers to stand on its toes due to its paws being tiger-like. The fur also has a tiger pattern, but other colors besides orange with stripes can be used, while the head and shagginess of the fur comes from its wolf attributes. On average, and adult ranges from 8 to 10 feet tall.
In regards to vore, its digestive system is selective due to using microbes instead of acid to break down food. These microbes are able to tell the difference between living and dead matter, and will not digest anything still alive. The diaphragm is very strong, able to pull air in through the tube connecting the stomach to the pouch, and exhale it as an occasional belch. Both males and females have this tube and pouch, though only females can birth cubs. The purpose for this unique digestive system is because the cub/joey can be swallowed and stored inside as a means of protection and cleaning, while also eliminating the risk of dropping the cub while running on all fours.
Kahngarous living without children amongst other races will still be pestered by the parental instinct to store young, and are known to devour friends and pets in order to fill this void. Guests of their bellies who are either intimidated by their wolf-like jaws or don't want to be regurgitated through the mouth (possibly due to an interest in full-tour, or wanting to feel more like food, which is not supposed to leave through the mouth) can simply enter and exit through the pouch. Due to the potential of having to store multiple cubs, their bellies are very stretchy, and can accommodate a 6-foot-tall human with ease.
Staying i a kahngarou's belly can result in the prey's skin being cleansed by the microbes, even removing calluses and acne, and dead hair follicles will be removed to stimulate stronger hair growth. This added to their warm bodies and internal moisture allows them to act as a sort of portable sauna. Kahngarous that are travelling may pick up someone heading to the same destination for a mutually beneficial arrangement: the traveler gets to rest for part of their journey, and the kahngarou gets to satisfy their urge to migrate with a cub.
By using this species, you don't need to use any particular license for art you make like with my KL characters. Just give me credit, maybe link to kelvinshadewing.net. Have fun!
