So this is what I entered into the United Way cookbook contest at work.
I was going to submit a cookbook cover but i never got around to it so I figured a recipe is better then nothing right?

The story behind it is when i was a kid me and my sister actually thought Shepherds pie was "German Shepherds Pie"..named after the dog lol, well my mom thought it was so cute she never bothered to correct us and that sort of stuck and is how we recognise the dish in our family =) we all have our own versions of course, but this one is mine and its my favourite and can also be made with vegetarian fake beef. very delicious.

I encourage everyone here to make this dish! and also post your own recipes! i love to cook and bake so it would be fun to try out some new ones =)
