Flight Rising Portraits (3h-ish): Mab!
Not that any art dump would be complete without more dragons, of course. Another personal one, this-- my tiny, icy fae queen: Mab. Mab is a G1 I saw up for sale in someone else's lair and just fell head over heels in love with the color scheme of, so naturally I snatched her up and turned her into this. Her "opal" veins are in some sort of translucent living ice, rather than stone.
I wanted to try a more clean/vaguely heraldic/art nouveau-y style for her portrait since it felt appropriate for whatever reason. Took freaking forever, but worth it maybe? A big thanks as always to Mr. Kyle T. Webster for making all the freaking incredible brushes I use-- particularly the watercolor pack I bought years ago and crutched on to hell and back for these textures and washes. Mmm.
