I love the costume! Very cool looking there. It has a nice Medieval / Steampunk feel to it. At least it does to me.

And his face and general posture are very dignified.

Thanks, yea Ranshiin did have one of the coolest looking costumes in the series, course it's kind of hard to go wrong with black leather and dragons .
I've never seen Steampunk, good series I take it?

Steampunk is a genre. Often popular in a lot of Anime. Many of Hiyao Miyazaki's film sare done in a Steampunk style. Basically, all sort sof technology comes from Steampower and the like, as well as lots of impossible technology, such as airships and the like. It can be a lot of fun, very Victorian in feel sometimes too, and has a sort of oldstyle class to it that a lot more modern stuff doesn't.

Man, that sounds really cool, I'll definitely have to check it out at some point.

I recommend the Miyazaki movies myself. They're a good introduction to the genre. You can certainly find more of it elsewhere too, but I can't quite think of any other places to really go.

Cool, been a fan of Miyazaki since Princess Mononoke came out, but I've only seen a few of his past works prior to that. I'll have to hunt down his earlier works and take a look at them.
One movie that did catch my eye a few years ago, was Steam Boy, even though it's not by Miyazaki, it does look like it would fall in the same genre. So that may be one that I'll hunt down and check out as well.

Me too! Princess Mononoke was my first. To see some good Steampunk stuff from him, I recommend "Castle in the Sky", "Nausicaa Valley of the Wind", and "Howl's Moving Castle".

I haven't heard of Steam Boy. I'm going to have to check that out myself.
