A slightly longer story I wrote for my friend below.

After a quaint Saturday with me and my dad, it's nice to sit down and relax for a while. Oh hold on, VaXen is here. Paw Ghosts? Let's see if we can investigate on our Quest For Paws!

The Quest For Paws

Standing at the peak nearly touching the very stratosphere of the earth is the cybernetic building itself of the future, Next Generation Incorporated. On one of the floors are two black cats sitting down and sharing a nice ice cream together on a quiet Saturday morning. The smaller one’s name is Phantom, and wears a snow white lab coat with a shining silver zipper. The other is Nathaniel Genesis or N Gen as his friends call him, who also wears a lab coat with black digital cubes etched into the fabric. Phantom licks his vanilla ice cream with delectable chocolate syrup on top while N Gen puts his arm around Phantom and says “Son. Today’s been a good one so far, you and me spending time together. I know I’m out a lot with the company, but-” Phantom interrupts him. “I know, I know, It’s alright dad. With all the people your helping with all this. . . .” Phantom looks around the room and at the Next Generation Logo and continues to say “It’s alright with me.” N Gen smiles. “That’s my boy.”


(Ding Ding) The ringing of the intercom went off. One of the assistants spoke. “Sir, VaXen Piranha has arrived upon your request.” N Gen stood up with a tad of cream on his face. "Excellent, please send him in." An emerald green anthropomorphic piranha plant digitally manifests into the room in holding a holographic monitor flourishing with digital notes. The title of the page states [Koopas] VaXen says. “So here’s the notes you’ve wanted. So...I get to have some of your homemade Ice cream now?” N Gen smiles "Why of course. However I wouldn’t call it homemade, more like company made, but your more than welcome to have a cone." N Gen prepares an ice cream cone for the Piranha Plant as VaXen squeals while giving it a nibble “Mmm, so smooth and delicious.” (DaDing DaDing) Suddenly VaXen gets an alert on his electronic bracelet. Phantom tilts his head and asks. "What's that VaXen?" “Just my creature update notice.” He looks on it and instantly blushes as he hides it to continue as if nothing happened. “Ahem. So, as we were....” He licks more ice cream in an inconspicuous manor, but Phantom finishes his ice cream to stare at VaXen saying. " Creature update...hmm?” VaXen sits continuing to eat his ice cream “Yes....very...good.” N Gen says "Could this be a new species of an interdimensional creature?" Phantom says. "VaXen, may we please see the notes?"


VaXen protests. “Nuuu!” Now N Gen is getting interested in the creature update and says. "Oh come now VaXen, maybe it could lead to more research of Entities of Mass Power." Phantom's eyes glisten like the flickering of a star. VaXen gasps to raise his arms saying. “Don’t encourage him!” He then feels the little kitty tugging at his shorts. Phantom says "Please...what if it's an EMP! C'mon." VaXen turns his head to Phantom and asks. “Why do you always want to see my exclusive data?” Phantom says. "Because it's always so cool. Don't make me do the you know what!" VaXen finishes his ice cream and crosses his arms to say. “I’m resistant to that, Phantom!” Phantom says "Hmmm?" He then engages his cute kitten face, with his eyes glistening once more, now seemingly twice their regular size. His cheeks puff out in an adorable manner and he utters in an innocent tone. “Pwease?” VaXen struggles to look “It’s...not...going to work!” Phantom climbs up on VaXen and stares at him. "Pretty Pwease!" VaXen began to sweat “NNG...Not!” Phantom then says "Mrrrow. Meow. Purr." Phantom nuzzles against VaXen. Meanwhile N Gen is giggling to himself. VaXen finally says in defeat “Urg! fine.” Phantom shouts raising his hands upwards in victory. "Yay!" He then leaps off of VaXen. VaXen taps his electronic bracelet to show an image of the new species.


The creature that looks to be a white spherical ghost with a looming tail and outstretched three fingered hands. It’s facial features show a scarlet red eye with a yellow iris and black pupils that seem to suck out the dreaded soul of anyone that catches a glimpse. A grin takes up most of its face as it smiles from one end of its body to the other with jade black teeth.


Phantom leaps in terror. “EEP!” N Gen puts his hand on his chin. "Hmm. Strange looking ones indeed." Phantom shouts now clenching onto VaXen. "WHAT IS THAT!" VaXen pats the kitty to ease him and explains. “That is known as a Ghost from the Sonic Adventure 2 universe, and they are called Boo’s. They like to hide and jump scare others, and more nasty than any other ghost we've met before.” N Gen says. "These creatures are indeed fickle ones. I’d like to know more." VaXen adjusts his bracelet. “I got one on recording, going against a robot I sent to Pumpkin Hill.” VaXen pulls up a recording of a robot walking by, suddenly....... “BLAGH!!” A ghost comes into view. The robot errors and turns down to be completely immobile. Phantom shouts “EEEEK!” VaXen’s gaze turns to N Gen, seeing him jolt “You too, N Gen?” N Gen clears his throat and regains his proper composure. “ It caught me off guard!" VaXen pats Phantom calmly. “Their King may not have portrait powers, but he’s massive, breathes fire and eats his opponents. His name, King Boom Boo.” VaXen pulls up a image of him.


Instead, this ghost is more of a lens shape than that of the previous one. However it still kept its white transparent color. It’s blue gaping maw now twice as long and wide with a color coated rainbow of a tongue. It’s eyes spiral as well into multiple colors leading to a black pupil.


Phantom wraps his arms around himself. “Gross!.....Eats his opponents." VaXen says “Well.....robots anyway, not sure about organic life.” Phantom sits down next to VaXen "Still….it's pretty creepy.” VaXen moves his right arm to rest his head and says. “Yeah, but my new update...is top secret.” Phantom's curious ears arose. "Hmmm? Top secret." The little kitty scuttles by VaXen and continues. "Please tell me." VaXen pulls out one more image saying. “I’ll show you.”


An image of the first ghost appears, however something was different. It has snow white raptor like feet. Three plump oval shaped toes with slight gripping claws at the end of every one. A soft pad is shown in the center just below the toes, and it’s heel could be raised upwards. The ghost gives a mischievous grin while exposing its great soles teasingly to the unsuspecting viewer in the photograph.


A quick blush runs quick across Phantom’s cheeks as he gazes upon the ghoulish figure and utters. “Wow.” VaXen puts away the image saying. “It appears some rare variation of them have raptor like paws. I don’t know why, but I’m still researching. Although....they feel rather soft.” N Gen says standing up to walk to a table "Interesting, perhaps a mutation, or new species entirely." A twitching pulse ran through N Gen’s body upon VaXen saying ‘feel’, meaning he touched them before. He says “You mean, you've meet this new species before. . .Hmm. I wish for you to continue your research on this. . . new specimen. VaXen arose from the couch to pat himself down saying. “Well, time for me to go see more of them.” Before he took a step, VaXen is pounced on by a familiar kitty saying. "Can you take me with you please!!!" VaXen reaches out and cradles Phantom in his arms. “Nuuuu, it’s dangerous! You heard what I’ve said about the ghosts.” Phantom says raising his arms to tap VaXen’s face. "I Know, but still. . .We've dealt with supernatural EMP stuff before." VaXen nibbles on Phantom’s hand saying “And.....Why do you want to come?” The blush on Phantom’s face intensifies as his cheeks emit a red fade. "Well. . .it's because. . .I think I could add them to my supernatural notes. . . thats all. . ." VaXen shows his toothy grin. “More like paw notes...” He then sets the kitty down. Phantom says “Then I have no other choice.” He uses the dreaded, cute kitten face once more. VaXen says “Nuuuuuuuuuuuu, not the cute face!” Phantom adds the effect by saying as if he is a small mouse. "Pwease." VaXen crosses his arms “Mmmmm! Only if your father said it is okay.” Phantom stops his cute face like the flip of a coin to face his father. "Hey Dad, Can I go Exploring?" N Gen says sipping a cup of coffee "Sure. Just be home by nine o'clock young man, and VaXen, be sure to keep him safe. I don’t want to have to start ghostbusting at Nine o’one.” He ruffles Phantom’s head and walks away. VaXen sighs picking up Phantom. “Fine...you can come with me..” Phantom shouts extending his arms and legs. "YAY!" VaXen brings up a map. “First....to Pumpkin Hill.” Phantom smiles. "Pumpkin Hill, Away!'


Later, The haunted atmosphere came into view as pumpkins, empty jack o lanterns and pumpkin towers take up the view in every direction. A tainted cathedral rests in the center of the field. VaXen raises both his hands. “Welcome to Pumpkin Hill.” Phantom moves closer to VaXen. "Ok...This place is a little scary!" VaXen asks. “Do you want to go back?” Phantom crosses his arms. "N-No. . I just have to be brave. . . .be brave." A black bat flies by the kitty. “AHH!” Phantom clings for dear life on VaXen's head. VaXen points to the bat, now flying away. “It’s just a black bat....see?” Phantom opens his eyes and says. "uhh oh right...hehe." VaXen just shakes his head. “Anyway...time to move on...and can you get off of my head please?” Phantom says. "Right. Sorry." Phantom climbs off of VaXen, but still follows closely. The pumpkin towers appear to gaze into the soul of the two hopeful adventurers. Soon, VaXen hides in a nearby pumpkin patch and says. “Go to the other side of the patch and tell me if you see anything.” "Ok" Phantom says having an uneasy feeling, but he walks on his little black toes to the other side and peeps his head around a pumpkin. Soft cackling could be heard nearby. Phantom shivers. "Mmmmmm!" VaXen cloaks himself in the patch and watched from underneath the pumpkin crevices. A ghost floats by with his sickening demonic face that could drive even the most sane mad in an instant. Phantom hides inside a jack o lantern. The Ghost looks around as it looks for potential victims. Phantom looks as the ghost is a solid yard away from the kitty. However, the ghost pulls out a Lollipop with a chewy center and begins enjoying its candy. Phantom whispers to himself. “Huh. The ghost is just eating. Great, we saw it, but it doesn't see us.”

Suddenly “Hey there, my spector creature!” VaXen says as he casually sat on a nearby pumpkin and claps his hands together as if he’s greeting a good friend. The Ghost looks at VaXen with a questionable gaze, weird seeing a....very unusual creature. Netheraless, it was about to strike until VaXen pulls up a container of his branded Lollipops with fruity insides. VaXen says pulling one out “I can see you’re hungry, care to have a go at my candy?” Phantom looks in awe as it’s attack ceased. The spirit sniffs the air and immediately goes for the candy, putting two suckers into its mouth...purring as it enjoys the sweet taste mixing on its tongue. VaXen says. “I was wondering if you can keep me company...” Soon, VaXen and the ghost share a few Lollipops together. A few moments later, VaXen takes the lollipop out of his mouth and twirls it around. “So...anything happened as of late...Earth tremors, water problems......annoying enchiladas?” The Ghost chuckled, getting the pun.



VaXen leans back and says “You, you can only take so much in life just to the point of asking the question...why even bother, but you keep going because you want things to get better, but it’s not easy...you know.” The Ghost looks the other way then back at VaXen, nodding slightly in response. Phantom whispers to himself while ducking downwards. “Ok, he's doing the research, all I have to do is be brave…and stay here.” Upon lifting himself up, VaXen asks. “Tell me something...what do you normally do around here?” The Ghost rests his jar of lollipops on the pumpkin and turns invisible. He then reappears directly in VaXen's face to try and jump scare the slightly affected piranha plant. VaXen asks shrugging his shoulders. “Anything else?” The Ghost lowers its eyes to do a ‘not really’ pose and continues to nom on the tasty treat. Phantom jolts at the jumpscare but is taken more so by the lack of interest after. “Huh? When ghosts can't scare. They just do...whatever.” VaXen leans forward towards the ghost. “I would like to go fishing you know, is there a place close by for that?” With great haste, the ghost draws something in the sand, showing a Aquatic like area. VaXen says “The Aquatic Mine, Okay...thanks for the help. And...you can keep the whole container.” He then gets up and walks away. The Ghost happily waves goodbye before eating another of the tasty treats. Phantom darts with VaXen while the ghost is distracted saying. "That was amazing VaXen, but why did you ask it where to fish aren't we looking for paw ghosts?" VaXen raises a finger to wag it at Phantom. “Indeed we are Phantom, which is why we're going to a place with many ghosts to find the right one. Now then, to the Aquatic Mine.”


After a few minutes, they both find a large sewer drain that led directly to the Aquatic Mine. Once there, they greet themselves with large tunnels, water seeping below, dangerous traps and ghosts surveying the area. VaXen raises a finger to Phantom and says. “We’re deep under the Pumpkin Hill sewers, lots of ghosts here and warning areas.” VaXen gazes forward upon a warning hatch with a ghost symbol on it. Phantom shivers to whisper. "Oh man!" VaXen asks patting Phantom’s back. “Care to take a few brave steps forward?” Phantom looks at VaXen and tilts his head. "Huh?....oh right!" Phantom knew exactly what he has to do. He finally has to be brave and show what he’s trult capable of. So he gathers as much courage as he could to march forward with his arms down and back, fists clenching with pride, chin firmly up and his chest out in a muscular position. Phantom takes a step forward and suddenly. “BLAGH!” A dreaded ghost appears mere inches away from Phantom’s face with its maw open as the kitty gazes at the razor sharp teeth in front of him. Phantom then clings onto VaXen for dear life shouting. "AHHHH! Go Away, Go Away!" The ghost disappears as fast as it came while Phantom heavily breathes saying. "Is- is it gone?" “Yes, it’s gone.” VaXen says removing the kitty. "Huh...ok we're safe. Right?" VaXen then asks “Want to try that again?” Phantom says closing his eyes. "Mmm ok." Phantom cautiously tip toes forward. No Jumpscares, no ghosts, not a single sound echoes throughout the dark hallway. Only Phantom being a brave kitty whispering to himself with every step. "I'm brave. I'm brave. I'm brave." Before he knew it, VaXen says “You did it.” VaXen happily claps for Phantom who had made it to the other side of the hallway. "I did?...I-I mean I did!” Phantom stands victorious to place his hands on his hips and continues. "Where to now?"


VaXen catches up to Phantom saying. “We must lower the water...and by we I mean you.” Phantom tilts his head saying. "Lower the water?" Vaxen led the way to another rectangular hallway, however it’s moist creaking walls looks that it could collapse at any given moment, however a small rectangular hole sat at the end of the hall with two switches. VaXen leans down and says to Phantom. “Hit the blue switch and immediately bounce it back up, you can do it.” Phantom salutes. "Yes sir!" Soon, the kitty scurries down the hall to pull the blue switch then back up as fast as he could. VaXen lifts a thumbs up saying. “Well done....now, we must go to down that shaft...to The Ghost Room.” Phantom quakes at the very mention of the words. "Ghost! Room!" VaXen covers Phantom’s mouth “Shhhhh....Yes...where all of them hide and are the most territorial.”


"Ok I think...I-I think I can try." Phantom calmly breathes then walks down to the ghost room. "I'm brave. I'm brave. I'm brave." VaXen grabs Phantom quickly as he jumps into the ‘Warning’ shaft above and starts running. His energy helping slip through until they reach a spacious railroad room. Phantom says seeing stars fly around his head. "Let me know before you that please." Patting the kitty’s head, VaXen says “Sorry....we’re here.” They hide under an old turntable rail cart and gaze from underneath to see that they are now in the dreaded Ghost Room. Phantom’s eyes widen. "Here it is." VaXen covers Phantom’s mouth “Shhh...let's watch what they do.” Most of the haunted enemies wander around aimlessly, looking for anything to do to distract themselves. One of them jumpscares the other for the frightened ghost to latch on to another ghost. Unfortunately, none of them are paw ghosts. VaXen whispers. “Who wants go researching?” Phantom takes a deep breathe. "M-Maybe you should take this one. I’ll watch from the side." Placing his hand on his chin, VaXen ponders. "But the thing is, I need to think of a way to approach without causing trouble."


A Ghost enters the room with a container of Lollipops. Phantom’s eyes and ears raise up as he whispers. “Hmm? Wait, VaXen look. The one you met before.” VaXen whispers back. “Hey! Your right.” The other ghost looks at its local brethren as it now has a blue colored tongue from eating lollipops. Lifting one lollipop high, the small ghost offers some to his fellow spirits as they all take one and Immediately snack on their treasure, each ghost hums happily, enjoying the succulent taste of their sweet delight. Phantom whispers poking VaXen. "Alright, now you'll just have to say that you gave them the candy, and they'll let you do some research while I stay here." VaXen climbs out from underneath the turntable rail cart saying. “Really...again?” All sound from inside immediately ceased to exist as each ghost looks upon VaXen curiously. VaXen casually says walking up to the ghost with the lollipop jar. “I find it hard that we’ve met again. Enjoying the candy?” He asked. The Ghosts all look at the one with the jar in confusion before the one with the container speaks in a high pitched ghoulish tongue to them. “Bleh, Bleh Blah Bleh.” Meaning he was the one who gave me the candy. Phantom whispers to himself. "Good. They recognize him." VaXen looks around the room to see an old fishing pole. “I’m just here to fish, don’t mind me. Y’all just continue to enjoy the sweets.” VaXen strides in a proud manor to sit near a pond of water to fish. While VaXen was fishing, two ghosts levitate behind him and just watch, no jumpscare, no malicious or ghostly behavior, just levitating to watch. VaXen says to himself. “Fishing is kinda like an art experiment, learn and try new things. Who knows, you might get lucky.” VaXen astonishingly catches a robotic fish straight from the pond. “Dang, it’s heavy!” He puts it to his side standing proud. Phantom still peeks from underneath the table. “These ghosts sure are interesting, but still now paw ghosts.”


Most of the ghosts are too busy nomming on candy or watching VaXen fish to notice the small kitty. Meanwhile VaXen shouts. “Oh man what a whopper!” VaXen pulls out a large skeletal fish that still lives flopping around for air. Most of the spirits watch in awe as VaXen caught another fish. Phantom looks and whispers to himself. “Hmm. It seems even ghosts are very curious when it comes to entertainment.” Holding the fishing rod out, VaXen asks. “Do one of y’all want to try?” VaXen offers. After a minute, one of them takes the fishing pole and began to fish. Suddenly, it got a bite and began tugging on the line. More and more it pulls with great haste until suddenly. An immense fish sprung from the very depths of the pond flailing for return. “Hey! Great job, not bad for a first timer.” VaXen complements, making the ghost blush in enthusiasm. Phantom whispers from under the table. “The ghosts physical strength must be incredible to lift a fish that big. These ghosts don't seem all that bad, maybe they're not evil. They just like to scare to just have fun.” VaXen says “Hmm. Ya know, I’ve been thinking, have any of you seen ghosts that are a tad different from the rest of you?” One of the ghosts held a stick and draws a figure in the ground. It showed a unique ghost having hindpaws. VaXen looks in awe as he says. “Wha....Paw Ghosts!” He receives a quiet nod. Phantom blushes greatly. “The Paw Ghosts.” VaXen stood up and says “I'm getting close!” VaXen raises his arms valiantly, however he also tilts his head twice to signal Phantom to leave. While all eyes are on VaXen, Phantom makes it out of the room posthaste without making a single sound. Meanwhile One of the ghosts contempts on what to do, until he came to a decision. With a swift wave of it's hand, he puts something into VaXen’s pocket without him knowing. “Well, I must be off. Thank you for helping me confirm my suspicions. Farewell...and enjoy the candy.” VaXen leaves the Ghost room waving goodbye to all the ghouls inside.


Phantom raises his arms joyfully as he escapes. "Alright! We know about the Paw Ghosts!" VaXen high fives the little kitty saying. “Yep!” Phantom’s eyes began to wander over to VaXen’s pocket. “Hey uhh VaXen. You have a piece of paper sticking out of your pocket.” “Really...?” VaXen pulls out a strange looking key with a note attached to it. He reads it out loud as it states. “You’re practically the only one who was able to be upfront with us. Candy and fishing, such gifts all for fun. If you had the audacity to give us something, then we should too. Go to Pyramid Cave. You’ll find what you're looking for.” Phantom gasps as he places his hands on his cheeks. "That must be where the paw ghosts are." VaXen scratches the back of his head saying. “However, Pyramid Cave is a WAYS away.” Phantom lowers his head. "Aww man. Is there a way we can get there quickly?"


“ Yes there is, like this!”



VaXen takes a few calm steps forward and latched to the edge of the scene to flip it like a page and with his miraculous effort, they both stand on a sandy platform. The vast view of the Pyramid Cave is directly in sight. The vast pillars towering above holding the labyrinth of a temple together, the statues of the Egyptian deities stay in place as they did when they were built, and a few ramps and ledges could be seen as if something were to run on them. Phantom shouts “What the! Who the! How the!” VaXen shushes Phantom. “Shhhhhhhhh. Don’t question it” After silence for about a minute VaXen says. “Now hop on. We’re going a bit faster.” Phantom just shrugs and climbs on VaXen. Down the hall, a ghost was patrolling the area in his disastrous attack phase. It felt entirely ready to pounce on any unsuspecting intruders that dare cross its ghoulish path. “Hmm.” It murmurs as it hears something from afar, approaching quickly! This is it’s chance! The ghost smiles maliciously as it gets ready to latch on and bite down on whatever approaches. However, a green and black blur comes into sight as its eyes shrunk while clasping onto none other than VaXen’s shoulders for his dear spectral life. Phantom looks at the ghost on VaXen’s back and shouts. "Ahhh! VaXen. A Ghost! It's on you!" VaXen says sarcastically “Oh? Another passenger.” “WAAAAAAHHH!” The ghost wails in fear, but VaXen kept going, going through loops, doing tricks through rings and collecting more ghosts that catch on as they hold onto one another while being taken through the VaXen express. Phantom couldn't believe his eyes as a few ghosts hold onto him. VaXen cries out in a triumphant manor, raising arms up with sheer joy. “WHOOOOHOOOO! Hold on Phantom!”.


Suddenly VaXen skids his feet on the ground, and one after another, the ghosts tumble off to lie on the stone floor panting heavily. Unfortunately though, none of them are paw ghosts. Phantom says still clung onto VaXen’s back somehow. "That was amazing, I didn’t know you could run that fast!" An unusual voice arose from the mouth of one of the ghosts. “You... how … hack .... I need … I will...should...bite....agh...need to breathe.” VaXen kneels down to it saying. “Oh, you can speak. Perhaps you know about this?” VaXen brings up the key out of his pocket. The ghost went wide eye and snatches it right out of VaXen’s hand. Meanwhile, Phantom still holds on tight to VaXen’s back. After the ghost sniffs the strange yet familiar scent on the key, it was clear that one of his own kind gave it to VaXen. The commanding ghost speaks. “This is the Eggman Key, but Who or What are you?” VaXen responds rather casually. “I’m VaXen Piranha, I was coming along this way after going through Pumpkin Hill, Aquatic Mine and now Pyramid Cave by info of theses elusive Paw Ghosts. I take it you’re a higher rank because you talk?” The commanding ghost says feeling a bit tampered “.....Okay, now you’re starting to creep me out with that IQ of yours...and that’s our job.” Phantom whispers. “A high rank ghost, and he can speak. He must be really strong to get that rank. Best not to engage.”


Soon, a Ghost floats by with a half full container of lollipops. It looks upon the others and waves at VaXen. VaXen waves back saying “Hey, we meet again!” The commanding ghost stammers on. “Hold on, again? You met this rookie?” VaXen smiles. “But of course, from Pumpkin Hill to Pyramid Cave. That guy has been enjoying my candy and the others have too.” The commanding spirit asks angrily. “What kind of being gives candy to a ghost?” VaXen just points to himself. By that time, the other ghosts are already enjoying the Lollipops in their mouths, delightfully humming at its enchanted flavor mixture. The commanding ghost looks around at the others enjoyment and put on a blank face. “.........Let me see one.” He pops one in his mouth and already his eyes light up to relish the new taste of raspberry. The commanding ghost shouts. “Great ectoplasm! VaXen you’re one heck of a candy wiz!” He breaks out of character before realizing it, then goes back as if nothing happened and says. “B-but, I guess this taste is....decent. If my species trusts you with this, then you may proceed.” He hands VaXen back the Eggman Key. The ghost looks at VaXen’s back. “And keep that kitty close, don’t need no Ghost to cough up a hairball.” Phantom's eyes go blank as his cover is blown so he says. “So much for not getting spotted.” Phantom climbs down VaXen’s back and hid behind the piranha plant for cover as the kitty whispers. “....Hi.”


“BLAGH!” One of the other ghosts leaps out to screech at Phantom. “AHHHHHH!” Phantom shouts as he covers his ears and closes his eyes, hoping that the ghost wouldn’t get him. After a few seconds of Phantom mumbling lowly, something pokes his chest. Phantom removes his shaking hands from his eyes saying. "H-Huh!" Just then, the most innocent and hopeful voice echoes from a ghost that holds up a crimson red lollipop out to Phantom. “....want?” It is the Rookie ghost mere inches away from the kitty, and also moved the ghost that scared Phantom out of the way. Phantom’s eyes widen. “s-sure." The kitty steadily reaches out to grab the lollipop saying. "Thank you." A small smile arose onto Phantom’s face as he admires the lollipop, then looks up at the ghost. Phantom tries a taste of the sweet treat in his hands. His eyes glisten with joy as the great embrace of cherry unfold on his tongue. "Wow! This tastes fantastic!" VaXen asks the commanding ghost.“So, can we continue onwards to find those Paw Ghosts?” The commanding ghost replies crossing its arms. “Yes, but don’t expect the ghosts to be all hunky dory. If you see the Paw Ghost your looking for...well, good for you.” Phantom nods and stays close to VaXen, for what lies ahead of them could be the end of their journey. Finally, In the Death Chamber.



While walking in a relaxed manner, VaXen says.“This is the Death Chamber, home of the Ghost King himself.” Phantom stays close and nearly holds on to VaXen’s leg mumbling. "Mmmmm." VaXen asks Phantom. “Do you want to be brave again?” The kitty proceeds to pats his face to bring up some energy. "I-I'm brave. watch!" Phantom stood with his arms down and chest out and walks forward. "I'm brave! I'm brave! I'm Brave!" Phantom then steps onto an unusual print on the irregular stone floor, that looks like a large snow white paw print. "I'm-Huh!" The unusual white paw print lies there as if something firmly pressed it into the stone ground below. "Hey VaXen, I think we're close! Look!" The moment that Phantom turns around to look at VaXen, his demeanor instantly changes as VaXen isn’t there! A frightened screech left the kitty’s mouth as he shouts. "Ah! VaXen! VaXen where'd you go!" He then pats his cheeks. "C'mon Phantom. Be brave! Be brave" He says quivering in fear”


VaXen comes out into a different room via warp pipe.“I forgot I had these in the oven. Good thing, I had my warp pipe tied to a timer.” He then smiles having full sized cinnabons in a carrying case used in bakeries. VaXen looks around to see he was somewhere else. “Oh man! I need to find Phantom!” He sprints once more to begin his search. Phantom walks forward cautiously. "I'm brave. . .I'm B-brave." The kitty looks down to see more paw prints and follows them posthaste. "I'm brave. I'm brave. Just be brave like VaXen and you'll be ok!" Quaking with fear while walking down the seemingly infinite hallway, Phantom keeps his head up following the prints. VaXen darts throughout the halls searching for his lost friend. “Phantom, you there!” He views a ghost off in the distance. “Hey you, seen a cat wandering around here?” The ghost just stares at him for a moment. VaXen says. “No, ha.....guess I’ll keep looking. Here!” VaXen hands him a hot cinnabon before running off. The spirit sniffs it and takes a bite. Its eyes turn to hearts humming happily to the new exotic taste.



Phantom continues to wander down the hall following the prints. “I know I’m getting somewhere...I hope.” In a remote room far away, VaXen shouts. “Phantom, can you hear me!” The piranha plant leaps elegantly from one platform to another. “Man, does anyone know where that cat is?” Moments later after crossing the final obstacle, heavy thudds upon the ground could be heard from ahead in the immense empty room. However, VaXen is too devoted on finding Phantom to notice and kept his pace forward. “Have to keep searching. Phantom!” Suddenly! (Boing) The near sound of a gong echoes throughout the room as VaXen bumps into a colossal sponge like substance. VaXen fell back upon impact saying. “Oof, hey! What the?” He looks up to see a Boom Boo sniffing the air holding his right hand on his drooling blue lips. VaXen says. “Oh, a high ranking ghost! Perhaps you seen-“ He immediately pauses as what he sees when he looks down nearly took his very breath away. That Boom Boo in particular has large creamy snow white paws! VaXen shouts in awe. “Wait....YOU’RE A PAW GHOST! AND A BOOM BOO VARIANT, EVEN RARER!” Indeed, VaXen has finally found an even rarer variant of the paw ghost than he was originally looking for. Boom Boo spoke in a deep tone. “An intruder...a weird one at that. Yet...that smell of sweets, drew me here. Mmmm.” The Ghost licks its dark blue maw with its gooey rainbow colored tongue.



(THUMP THUMP THUMP) The entirety of the Earth seemingly shakes as Boom Boo walks closer to VaXen, thumping its plump paws against the nearly broken stone floor beneath. The large ghoul says “Give me that.” It reaches out and grabs a Cinnabon from VaXen’s hand. Boom Boo sniffs it in confusion then examines it. “This is a....Cinnabon?” VaXen says “Yes, I made them myself, now have you seen a-” VaXen is silenced as Boom Boo motions his paw above him and slams it down to cover his entire body in the embrace of Boom Boo’s paw. Boom Boo says “Silence you....weird...plant thing. I guess you’re a plant.” It then pops the entire Cinnabon into it’s ghostly maw, like the ghosts before it’s large rainbow eyes become hearts as it’s tongue saturates in the sweet taste. Boom Boo murmurs wiggling it’s toes “My god! Where have you been all my life!” He decides to munch on another. VaXen tries to speak, but the toe drumming on his head keeps hims from doing so. There was something he can try, it works with his King after all. (SMOOCH) With that, the ghost pauses to slowly look down asking. “.......Did you just kiss my toe?” The ghost removes a toe from VaXen’s head. VaXen smiles. “.....Heh...I guess I did.” Boom Boo feels VaXen’s very heartbeat pounding vigorously on his sole. “Heheheh.”


In the meantime, Phantom looks down the next path. As he turns his head to look back, a lollipop taps against the kitty’s face. “Ah! What, wait.” The Rookie Ghost stands beside Phantom still holding a the nearly empty container of candy. Phantom says “Hey it's you. Man. You've really been with us this whole time. Have you seen VaXen? He disappeared on me. The Rookie Ghost utters “.......VaX?” Phantom says "Yes Vax. I need to find him. So we can find a paw ghost. Can you take me to him? Please." Rookie Ghost thinks for a moment, but speaks once more. “Find VaX.....en.....VaXen!” Rookie Ghost spoke his name to run down hall. Phantom follows. "Boy I hope VaXen's doing ok right now."


At the same time while Boom Boo has VaXen in his clutches he asks. “Where’s your eyes...do you even have em?” VaXen responds pushing up on the immense paw. “Visually no....but I do have them.” Boom Boo looms his plump paw directly above VaXen’s body. His pillowy toes wiggling as he smirks. “What do you see now?” VaXen smiles blushing. “A large clean hindpaw that looks heavy.” Boom Boo lowers the paw onto VaXen’s body, however in a slightly gentle manor. He savors the moment from VaXen’s body touching the base of his heel all the way to the toe atop his head. He says teasingly. “And now?” VaXen calmly says. “Darkness...but feeling slight warmth.” With a bit of extra courage, VaXen extends his tongue to lick the massive toe impending upon his head. He retracts it back into his mouth after having a quick vanilla like taste. Boom Boo coos quietly, shaking both him and VaXen. He plays his thick toes to then capture VaXen’s head in between. “More.”


The Ghost and Phantom were dashing around the halls until they find Boom Boo. Phantom then hides. “That's a big ghost wait!” Phantom takes another look and gasps to see it had paws and VaXen underneath one. "Your ok!" Phantom shouts. “...Urrr....more.” Boom Boo moans exposing his plump toes to VaXen who licks between them. The immense amount of pleasure makes the ghost topple back to lie in relaxation. The sounds of it’s tuba like moan echo throughout the entire room as VaXen is tackled and hugged nearly to death by a little kitty. "VaXen! Your alive! Don't ever disappear again please!" VaXen pats Phantom saying. “Phantom! I’ve been looking everywhere for you. I didn’t mean to leave. It’s just that I forgot something in the oven for my timer to act accordingly with my warp pipe. That’s why I left unexpectedly, but I’m proud of you for being brave on your own and being safe.” VaXen caresses the softly sobbing kitty. Phantom releases the hug to see Boom Boo. “So this is a Paw Ghost. Wow!” Rookie Ghost tilts its mystic head saying. “Paws?” Phantom says "Paws are. . .well. Like these." Phantom holds up his right footpaw. Rookie Ghost points at Boom Boo. “.......larger...paws?” Phantom gazes at Boom Boo's propped up paws, the sheer size of the smooth sole, the glistening saliva covered toes and the sharp claws. "Woah!" Phantom blushes greatly. Phantom walks up to the right hindpaw to graze his hand upon it. Boom Boo sighs in relief to feel Phantom’s fur graze against the sole. “Murr. You’ll all stay with me forever.” Phantom says “What?” VaXen says “As much as we’d like to do that, we came for some research on your species big guy. So how about this, we get to research you and you’ll get the rest of my Cinnabon’s. How about that?” Boom boo moves his hand by his lip to think for a moment. “Bleh. It’s a deal. Hur Hur Hur.”


VaXen rubs Phantom’s head. Alright Phantom. Commence your research.” Phantom smiles greatly as the titan of a ghoul sat before him. “Yes!” Phantom immediately pounces on the sole, feeling it’s soft embrace. “Thank you so much!” It seems that Phantom’s scared demeanor instantly disappears. The moment Phantom purrs softly. Boom Boo’s paw quakes as the vibrations ran across his sole. Boom Boo moans. “This is gonna be fun.” As Phantom hugs Boom Boo's paw, the spirit decides to have a bit more fun with his company. Using his spiritual powers, the ghost phases Phantom into his paw! Phantom is now stuck in the semitransparent foot of the ghost. “Hurr Hurr Hurr.” Boom Boo rumbles wiggling its foot. With the movement of its sole, Phantom moves as well as if he is stuck in jello. “Fascinating!” Phantom says blushing like a ripe tomato. At the moment, VaXen moves to the other monumental sole and licks upon it once more, enjoying every second as the vanilla flavoring cascades throughout his tongue. Phantom wiggles around to tickle the ghosts foot on the inside. “Hurr Hurr Hurr! We're just getting started.” After a thorough and enjoyable period of research, Phantom and VaXen exit the Death Chamber waving goodbye to the ghosts and ghouls they met along the way. They go back to Next Generation incorporated, brave, hopeful and ready for future quests for paws.
