CDF Type 21 Standard Class of Weapons
Developed in the later half of the 2010's the Type-21 series was an update to the armory of the CDF's personnel and ground combat capabilities and include 5 weapons of different types, a standard infantry rifle, LMG, SMG, sidearm, and long range rifle.
The SIAR-21 (More commonly known as the AR-21) is a 6.66mm select fire rifle with single shot, 2 round burst, or full automatic fire modes given to all riflemen in the CDF. It has 4 attachment rails (1 on top, both sides and bottom) for fore-grips, laser sights, flashlights, scopes, grenade launchers etc and rail attachments (attachments that make more space for more attachments, like an extension cord). With an interchangeable rear grip, stock, magazine, and barrel the weapon can be modified for almost any purpose and need. The specially re-modelled 6.66mm (nicknamed "The Devil's Bullet" for obvious reasons) is a self sealed full cylindrical round in a combustible cartridge that doesn't used curved magazines, and can be used in underwater environments but with a severe drop in effectiveness and non-atmospheric environments. The standard issue stock holds the cleaning kit and a small storage space for small items or an extra magazine. As is standard with the Type 21 series, the SIAR-21 comes in both left and right handed variants with the right handed variant being shown.
Heavily influenced by the M-60 and MG-3 7.62mm LMGs the SLMG-21 or SLIM Gun is a 7.5mm fully automatic light machine gun meant for heavy fire over a short time for either suppressive fire, light anti-air, defensive positioning, or general anti infantry on armoured vehicles. The standard magazine holds 200 rounds of ammunition and can deplete it in 12 seconds from it's 1000 rounds per minute rate of fire, but can be switched out for larger or no magazine to be belt fed. The receiver is opened by pushing forward on the release and lifting the receiver to load a new belt or magazine and cocking the firing pin on the other side of the gun. As the SIAR-21 it also uses self sealed full cylindrical ammunition and combustible cartridge.
The SIMG-21 or SMG-21 is essentially a shortened version of the SIAR-21 with the expulsion of the select fire modes and a shorter round but still chambered in 6.66mm.
The SIUP-21 is a semi-automatic 10mm pistol similar to the M-1911 or Beretta M-9, and is one of the few infantry weapons that doesn't use combustible cartridges. The standard clip holds 15 rounds and is the only gun to have just an underslung rail attachment.
The HVMR-21 is a 20mm Railgun and the only infantry weapon to not use explosives for round propulsion. It is easily the most powerful infantry weapon developed as a way to bring the power of the CADA's and CDN's railguns to the ground fight. When the prototypes were first tested the power was too great and caused damage to the breech, chamber, and receiver. The gun has earned the nickname of "hummingbird" and "hummer" because of the distinctive hum the gun makes when charging up and the speed at which the rounds travel. The gun is also used in anti-tank and anti-material roles with use of it's sabot round with penetration of over 400mm of steel at 3 kilometers. The battery holds enough energy for 10 shots, after which it needs a minute of generation to recharge, done by a small crank on the right side of the gun (on right handed models). The guns range makes it ideal in open ground like plains or tundras, but also gives it a drawback of inaccuracy at extreme ranges, this was fixed by it's range compensating muzzle and range finder which use the same type of laser ranging in the MBT-82. It has 4 lasers set in a circular pattern around the muzzle that adjust to converge on the target and depending on the angles gives you the range, this information is fed into the scope and is represented by a small dot on the scope's screen. The computer and electronics for this equipment is located in the gun stock. Due to the kickback of the gun it is advised that the gun only be fired from a fixed position, such as a prone bi-pod position or a tripod standing or crouch position. However it is completely advised to never use the gun unsupported as the kick back can dislocate and break bones.
