Claws
Aixu's claws are retractable and also have many variations:
None: Having no claws at all. This is fairly uncommon, but is possible.
Normal: Curved claws, these are the basic form of claws that serve basic purposes, but aren’t empowered or overly weaponized. Anything that’s past this claw type is a mutation over time or empowered in some form.
Bladed: Bladed inner curve/arch which is perfect for hunters / gatherers and assassins.
Straight: Excellent for the scouts who kick them into stone and trees in order to scale even the most steep mountainsides; Fighters who are skilled with their legs are also normally equipped with them as well to give powerful and nasty kicks; Archers also tend to have this variant as well in order to get to higher ground quicker and wait for the right time to strike.
Gemstone: Very rare mutation. These are mostly found in Aixu who don’t have gems anywhere else on their body. These are considered to be a royal trait. They are also a trait of legendary Aixu who have gone on to be very powerful and prominent in the Aixu civilization. Well known Aixu ranged from legendary fighters, healers, royalty, etc.
Poisonous Barbs: These are a very rare trait which works quite differently than all the other claw types because they can detach from the Aixu and grow back in a couple of hours. These claws are coated with a toxic poison that can cause very serious problems to those affected. There are different types of poisons depending on the Aixu and where it originated from. Some of the common ones cause symptoms like blurred vision, confusion, disorientation, fever, vomiting, etc. More dangerous ones cause loss of muscle control, weakness, paralysis, inability to breathe, life threatening fever, wounds that can only be healed by magic, and inevitably, death.
Horns
Horns come in many variations and can sometimes hold the power of an Aixu. They range from: natural, none, antlers, nibs, branch, vines, flowered vines variant, gemmed, curved, demonic.
Depending on the horn type, the Aixu can use their horns for many purposes such as fighting, magic, light source, etc. Those from the forest regions like to use their horns to dry herbs and other items. Decorating them with feathers, shells, flowers, vines, (etc) is common in most regions, especially for ceremonies. Aixu with no horns aren’t rare, but they aren’t common either.
Tails
Aixu from warmer regions use their tails as parasols to keep the sun off of them and keep them cool while those from the colder regions use theirs to help keep them warm. Some Aixu from tropical regions also have been known to use their tails to fish or use it as a lure to catch their prey.
More To Come
There's still many more traits which can be released in the future, so keep watch! <3
