This is the last of my current batch of cartoony style drawings. Not to say I'm not going to do more like this, just that I made 3 sketches at the same time and this is the 3rd one finished.

Thanks! I'm really loving this cartoony style for the expressions. It's a lot easier to fiddle with them and get what I want without taking half an hour each change, unlike when I draw the more realistic style.
It also lets me draw the whole thing start to finish on my Android tablet, which is good because I lost my huion tablet somewhere between blfc and my new condo. D:

It's a samsung tab A with spen. Autodesk sketchbook is a full featured drawing program (layers, select/move/copy, different pens), and then I'm using the crappy stylus that comes with the tablet (it's tiny and not that ergonomic to hold unfortunately).
I found that the key to working well with it was to stop wishing it was clip studio and just forget about all the technical stuff. I use 1 pen, 1 eraser, the fill tool, and the undo button. Fill can reference one layer or all layers, and it tends to leave a border so coloring can be a pain. It really forces you to keep the drawing simple.
