Honestly, I’m kind of torn. On one hand, I don’t want the Pokemon team to lose its leader instantly. On the other hand, I kinda wanna see Laz Get humiliated. But on the other other hand, Coco the Wendigomon is the complete opposite of Coco the movie. IE one is solid gold and other is a solid turd.
It really seems like a bad move storywise to have one team’s leader go first and the other one go last. I feel like losing Lazare here would be crippling to the Pokemon team, regardless of their feelings towards him, and it would give the Digimon team a very clear advantage, as they’d still have their leader and their team morale.
