Immaru Frigate

Frigates of the Immaru class are the working animals of the Confederal space fleet. Being almost 500 meters long, they fill a niche between corvettes that lack capabilities, and large destroyers that draw too much attention.
They are used for a wide variety of assignments, from border patrol to large fleet operations. However, where they excel the most is in small scale or secret missions. Housing eight fighters and two troop transporters in its dual hangars, Immaru frigates are often used to board other vessels, or as an orbital base for limited ground assaults.
When it comes to ship to ship combat, a frigate can rely on its heavy armor and plasma shields to allow it to make use of its three forward-firing heavy plasma cannons. A wide array of medium- and small-sized turrets complements its offensive power.
