Im stranded in california. I had hoped to move back to texas in january but plans fell through and then my money dried up. I know I wont be able to save that much before the next TFF

Oh, man! I can *so* relate that poor bugger having to listen to this. Having run Reg Desk for a Con for a decade now I can say that this happens several times Every. Freaking. Year.!!

Some nuffer always thinks they can scam another badge or a free one... "Yeah, sure, I'll give you a Con badge when you don't know what name you registered under and only have some dodgy laminated photo ID from some school we've never heard of with no DOB on it." As if. :eyesroll:

Some folks genuinely are trying to help someone but they just can't understand why we won't hand over a badge without the owner showing up with acceptable ID and why we need then to move on so the hundred people behind them can register... I mean it's only stated three times on the Con terms and conditions form that you confirmed you read when you signed up so it obviously can't be that important!

Seriously, you guys do a fantastic job dealing with unprepared and rushed con-goers. The patience you show is amazing. ( being asked the exact same question 200 times an hour) . Frankly...I doubt if I could afford the ammunition I would expend if I had to deal with all that!

Heh, it's still a laugh... at least the random dills stop it from getting monotonous and you get to at least get to say a few words to the regulars you know as they sign in.

Yeah. I know a few people that work registration at Texas Furry Fiesta and from what they say, people try to BS their way into a free pass every year.

I must admit that while I am curious about how things are done in the new world, but I am a little scared of travelling to USA, due to recent news on unrest and violent acts. And it would also require better financial situation. But i't not an impossible idea.

The US is like most other places. You just need to be aware of whats going on around you. With terrorists shooting up Paris and other places in the world, its something to keep in mind. That being said, there is a lot of interesting things to be seen here and fun towns to visit. Depending on what you are into or want to see, there are a lot of safe things to do. If you are thinking aboutcoming over, I can try to give you whatever information I have.

BTW...where in Finland do you live ? (if I am not being too nosey) I have been to Helsinki a couple of times, but sadly few other places.

Oh yes. I know where Turku is. Never been there, but have heard about a Castle there and a Cathedral. If we get over that way again I think it will be on our "go see" list.

I actually watched a guy try to get a con badge for a "friend" and didn't know what the friends name was.

Mmhm, I read all the comments on this after reading the description x3 Just made my comment because of how this silly character is revealed to have successfully infiltrated the convention in the sequel image you got. Then again, since you're there on the right in that drawing, I suppose they snuck past security.

I thought it would be a logical sequel to the first drawing. Yinglets are very clever scavengers and slick talkers. I would like to think up another drawing in this series. Maybe Raynard confronting it at the con face to face.

Oooo, and a fourth could be Raynard having an identity crisis after the yinglet convinces the fox of not being himself XD And since I'm personally a fan of transformation sequences, I had a silly thought just now of the two characters physically changing into each other, causing the ex-Raynard to be escorted away by security.

I like the idea of Raynard being hauled off by security....hmmmmmmm....

Yeah, this is what these damn scavs do. He's probably going to steal all the seafood (mainly clams) and mess up everyones art! In the name of art of course!

They seem to think everything looks and smells better with a little clam juice on it. I am thinking about one more of these drawings where the scav gets busted impersonating Raynard. =^.^=
