Well - I don't think any one movie owns the "hovering in space" motif
But I do think I had the movie "Contact" going through my head while thinking about the scene... There is a scene where Jodie Foster is Hovering and completely consumed by what she sees through the (transparent) wall.
I did watch Gravity as well - but it somehow didn't resonate with me as much... - it was just a well done movie but without a great deal of emotional attachment IMHO.

LOL - Nope! But I think I know why you think that...
The origin of the similarity is the actual design of the Real-World Cupola module on the International Space Station: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cupola_(ISS_module)
I used a tiny bit of that in the montage I sent to Spectrumshift in order to convey the idea. I'm pretty certain the Civilization people were inspired by the design of that module as well...

Thank you again for this wonderful and amazing picture...
I really wish to be in the shoes of this Astronaut - or rather Astrowolf? I guess he is pretty close to reaching his dreams ... Oh boy - I almost dread writing my description for this picture ... because the ideas behind this artwork are actually pretty close to my heart...
But maybe I'll just skip over that and write the obvious: WEREWOLVES - IN SPACE!
Anyway - I really hope I wasn't too annoying with my requests and the lack of communication (mostly caused by travel stuff / Anthrocon) ...

Well, assuming the basic necessities for life were accounted for, (ie. water, air, food, adequate air pressure, etc.) the gravity would either not be strong enough enough to keep him (assuming it's a HIM) from floating into an orbit of his own, or (assuming this is in an alternate universe where some moons have an inordinate amount of mass packed inside them, thus providing enough gravity) the situation would be much like The Little Prince's domain. The relative lack of gravity affecting his upper body in comparison to his lower body would make for some pretty weird physics.... Like say, if he were to run and make a jump on said moon (unless it was one of the Galilean moons) his upper body would maintain more momentum than his lower half, making for either a hard fall or his going into a mini-orbit. neither of which would be very pleasant.
Sorry, that's probably far more than you ever wanted to know.... I'm a nerd.
