Just something I wanted to share, kinda a mini tutorial. Sorry for bad handwriting :3
I just wanted to get the point across that spending a few extra minutes on a flat color piece can really help improve it, push yourself to add those smaller details, and also help you as an artist sell commissions more successfully without having to add much extra work
It took very little time at all to add these extra details to an otherwise very fast simple piece but made the image so much stronger. Doing all of those extra steps isn’t necessary but even a simple geometric shape in the BG or a color gradient added over your flat colored stuff really helps it stand out. Those small details really are beneficial to both growing as an artist and getting commissioners interested.
