Gotta say cutting the mane definitely took a few years off his age, though I don't know why any lion would really wanna get rid of their mane even if they wanted to look younger. Still, he manged to pull it off quite well without really losing the whole mane.

Just a suggestion, but narrowing the muzzle a little will give a better appearance of youth. A wide muzzle is produced by heavy hormones after a male breeds extensively. Narrower muzzles are associated with females & juveniles.

Looks like my last comment was pretty good timing ;P But I just checked your gallery and it has been a while since we last saw Icelyon, so I mean the poor guy is a little overdue! I'm going to say though, while the shorter hair and more slender shoulders does make him appear younger, at the same time he still feels a little older than the last time I saw him drawn by you, but I think that has more to do with your art style maturing than anything else. It seems like everything you were drawing back then seemed to look a tad more cutesy, noticeably younger than everything you've been drawing recently. Just don't overcompensate and turn the poor guy into an emaciated pre-teen! He's looking great as is! Just outta curiosity though, what age range is the guy looking to portray himself as?
