The manticore, in some cultures, was seen as a protector. Which he'll be doing now that he's trespassed on these ancient ruins!

is the hoofed hindlegs a character design thing, or specific to a certain culture? I haven't seen this detail yet, then again my only encounters with manticors were at the gaming table. :)

A lengthy and nicely paced sequence. Very nice work. I like cursed themes where a person becomes involuntarily forced to become a guardian. Other touches like the glasses in the foreground and glowy eyes add to the overall presentation and implication of the transformation which is rather chilling. But hey maybe the job pays well.
