I will say that as much as I love the hair color, isn't that a pain to color? In addition fantastic freckles mixed with blush they have going on.

The hair wasn't any harder to do than any other color, really since i used the gradient tool in photoshop for the base. Highlighting and shading it will be pretty straightforward.

But i kinda love the idea of burnt antlers, maybe with cracks and splits showing hot coal inside and ash flaking off. Now THAT will be a pain to color ;)

Also, i'm not 100% happy with the purple ear fluff. It looks pretty good just in white.

The cracks of hot coals look is what I was thinking. I understand that pain, but the real question would be. Is it worth that effort?

I feel they stand out in a bad way from her ears and hair, but maybe after the horns they might mesh well.

well, worth the effort because it will be a learning experience for me :) never a waste of time to grow in art.
