IN THE MIDDLE
is Benjamin Haas AKA Lucky Ben. A Dutch lop rabbit with the LEFTIEST OF LEFT FEET imaginable. If he were to walk down a smooth stretch of ground that was paved to ensure no one could slip and fall, he'd still manage a way to trip. He's a disaster magnet, but for his twin sister Greta, he'll chip his teeth and brave any creep who attempts to steal her innocence. Including Governor Rochelle of his colony of Tatyana.
He's hit a wallop's sum of trouble as he unknowingly indebted himself to the creepy Governor and now must pirate to earn the gold and silver he needs to stay out of prison and keep Greta from being left vulnerable.
Although, his curse of clumsiness and poorer than poor luck might turn out to be an asset for his pirating days~

THE OTHER RABBIT
is Greta, Ben's twin sister and his only living relative. She and him lost their mother in their early teens and have since then looked out for one another. She has stars for eyes and believes wholly in the romantics of the age of sail, imagining swarthy shirtless sailors and nicely chiseled navy men. All eager to sweep her off her cotton-tail.
She is the unfortunate object of Governor Rochelle's lusts and she doesn't seem to quite grasp the depth of which the cavorting kitty is willing to go to have Greta bounce into his lap.
She might not be as naive as she appears though~

THE TALL, SHARPLY DRESSED FELINE
to the right is Admiral Horace Nelson. Back straight as an arrow, eyes set to a horizon only he knows, shoulders broadened to hold fast against the treachery of the waters and land, Horace is a celebrity in Tatyana.
Most amazing is that he is the only other person besides Greta in Tatyana who is fearless enough to approach Ben, as he possesses a sureness of step that Ben's cosmic misfortune can't quite catch up to~
