definitely gimp. however, you should do some studies on how light sources affect shading. the shading as you do it now doesnt make a whole lot of sense taking how light works into account. theres plenty of tutorials out there that can show you what i mean.

I mostly us paint to draw with, the shading part was a test to see if it work.

It depends if it makes you feel comfortable adding more detail into your art. It also depends if you want to use gimp instead of paint. :3

Im not going to leave paint any time soon. as that's my go-to. As for detail's.... is still in the works ! ;p
