I swear no one in this family can take a non-washed out photo to save their life. Especially back when we used the analogue camera.
Now looking at them side by side, I can see more differences, but I swear, that WAS the first thing that popped into my mind when I looked at the thumbnail. (Curiously, the people who gave us Lacey claimed she was an Australian Shepherd. She...really does NOT look like one.)
And part of the reason I picked an older photo is that she is a very old lady now. She's about 15 and with her arthritis and such she is feeling her and showing her age. At least the nice thing about animals is that they never really seem to agony about how old they are and just keep living. :)

Wow, gorgeous. The fur is done so well and gives the pic such a feeling of movement and flow. The dog's face is very expressive. And the background is simple enough that it doesn't detract from the focus but still gives enough of a feeling about the landscape.

i was thinking about that myself...wanna get one done of my girl. shes my first dog ive ever had of my own, so wanna do something very special. perhaps my fursona and her on the beach or something. ill give you more details when i can actually afford such a thing and see what we can work out if your interested. most likely tho it will just be her by herself tho, so i can frame it on the wall. next to the large black wolf print i got from you at AC ^.^
