Gender: Female
Age: 20 (of an unknown life expectancy. One parent is immortal and the other lives centuries)
Hands: 15.8
Build: Baroque-style Friesian
Eyes: Brown
Pelt: While the rainbow remains the same, where any given stripe is on her body varies with movement. Rather like if the pattern was staying still and she was moving through it.
Mane/Tail: Same as the body, but a different rainbow.
Hooves: Same as the body, but a grayscale rainbow. They are cloven, like both her parents.

History: Skimring is the daughter of a Paladin of Fate's mount-familiar and a Unicorn. Much to her mother's distress, her sire's desire to serve bred true in her, and neither of their IQs.

Personality: Skimring is sweet, affectionate, curious, loyal to the death to an accepted rider and very difficult to spook or scare. While she will accept someone other than her rider on her back if instructed by her rider to, she does not like it. She is friendly to people unless they are threatening her rider, herself, or try to mount her without her rider there. While not as nearly smart as either of her parents (who were at person-level), she's smarter than the average horse and capable of training far beyond what she has.

Training: Skimring is trained as a general riding horse with secondary training as a hunting mount, pack animal and to carry wounded/dead/bleeding (people or animals) without objection. She is good in mountain, forest and jungle. She has been trained to do well in the city, but is not fond of it, likely a holdover from her unicorn heritage. After bonding with a rider she can be turned loose to forage for herself and will return when told to (by placement of sun or moon -- dawn, midday, moonrise, etc). She has demonstrated that she can fight off/escape from natural predators.

Abilities: Her pelt is the most obvious. It is highly distracting. It is suspected that she may eventually learn to control her colors, in part or in full, possibly even becoming invisible, but that is conjecture at this point.

Notes: Ill-suited for desert and badlands. She requires x2 the water and 1.3x the food in such conditions.

Thanks to her heritage (her sire was a carnivore), she is fully omnivorous and can survive fully on meat, fully on vegetation, or any combination of the two.
